FIxed it.

I think it's fascinating that there's a whole different dialect only 2 hours drive from here...

I've adopted the Canucks, and have been a fan ever since they left the WHL in '71, but if the Coyotes move here to Seattle I'm switching allegiance. I will attend as many games as I can. And, unlike the NBA situation here, we will be bringing in a playoff contender (Smith is an outstanding netminder). BUT.... If Portland ever gets a team, I will root for them. I will never root against the Portland/Oregon anything

I would love to see one of the bullshit markets head up north of the border..at least just under it, for you haha. I know that your WHL franchises do just fine..And the League needs to recognize, nobody in the desert watches hockey.. haha.

I'm actually fine with NHL teams in warm weather cities, I think it was good for the sport that the Kings hoisted the cup last year, once I got over the fact that they so thoroughly manhandled the Canucks. Esp. after they treated the Blues even worse than the 'Nucks.

'11 was a bitch though. Being thiiiiis close to a cup only to take a sh*t in game seven. I wouldn't have rioted tho...

Absolutely not..That riot was embarassing, left Vancouver with quite a blemish. Especially after what they were calling one of the best and most successful winter olympics' ever.

As I understand it, there were instigators up there, some of the same people that started the rioting here in Seattle in '99. They figured, win or lose, they could instigate rioting after that game. That obviously does not excuse those who joined in...

Yea thats exactly what it was. There were people there who were ready to riot regardless of the outcome..and then the booze helped the ball get rolling.

Toronto lost tonight... no surprises there, lol. I wasn't at the game, but I rode on the streetcar after the game with a whole bunch of drunk, depressed loudmouths.

Nonsense. If we want to avoid events like those which took place in Vancouver, we should simply ban such events from occurring in Canada. Maybe when their people grow up a bit we'll let them host something, but, clearly, these Molson chugging Canadians can't handle such excitement.
