i was hoping for the packers cuz i thought they'd be more likely to beat the saints. But after that, i dunno.

neither teams defense showed up. Fun game tho.

kouki 01-11-2010 08:21 AM

Crazy ass game.Go cards!! I dont know about the saints tho,Im hoping they win,but thats gonna be a tough game.

I'm stoked off of these games. Totally whiffed on the hit-or-miss Eagles, but everything else went as expected. Didn't give the Ravens enough respekt in my picks, though... If the defense and running game click like that they could give the Colts fits. Time for the Jets to exit- but I'm just hoping for a close game that comes down to the wire... At least enjoyable before I blackout or break my tv during the game.

i dont see the colts struggling too badly with the ravens unless we come out really flat because of the layoff. our O-line is much better than the Pats. and we will just load up the box and make Flacco beat us, and he won't with those receivers.

I hope Peyton is off, only for the simple fact of missing out the last few games. Maybe they will learn a damn lesson and never do that bull**** again.

I doubt that will happen. They did the same thing in 05' and didn't learn.

Haha that's good. I laughed at the 2010 season being right around the corner. Onion Sports is always good- I remember a press release that Mark Prior had signed a contract with the disabled list lol.

Are you saying that all the other teams are favored? I dont know the spread at all, but they all seem like close games to me. I'd like to know who you think will win.

debaserr 01-15-2010 08:41 PM

Sd (hope jets win tho)
indy
'boys
no

Sparky 01-15-2010 10:55 PM

why are the vikings such an underdog?

They have home field, the by week, and a quarterback with like 10 years of playoff experience.

I know this is jaded, but I see it more of a team leader battle. Romo is a homo, and Favre is the last of the great and not a pussy QB era. After seeing Brett give it his all in the fourth all year after having retired numerous time, im still with that old man. Maybe its just my heart that wants to see him defeat the team that stomped my Bills in back to back years, but I'd love for a Minny winny.

Yeahboi!

I personally see the Vikes representin' the NFC in the ship.

Sparky 01-16-2010 10:59 PM

New Orleans defense was monstrous today :O

Its gonna be tight for either Dallas or Minnesota having to play there.

Sorry...not an automatic no. I just noticed they were right at the top of the page, but seriously, they might as well be.

Jets win, you change your avatar to Darrelle Revis and custom title to "Two-thirds of the Earth is covered by water, the rest is covered by Darrelle Revis". Colts win, I'll change my avatar to Peyton Manning and customer title to... Whatever.

Do we have an accord?

How about the avatar/custom title stays up till a week after the Super Bowl. So that puts us at Sunday, February 14, and let's just say Midnight Eastern. :)

It doesn't have to be Manning either- I will sport WHATEVER you want. It can be a .gif of Eric Estrada hip-thrusting. Anything you choose (as long as the mod's approve). This is essentially a gift from me to you haha.

debaserr 01-19-2010 10:03 PM

sure. and yes, it is a gift! thanks!

kouki 01-21-2010 06:56 AM

Amazing games! I cant believe the stupid kicker for san diego,I so wanted the chargers to win. Oh well,I think the super bowl will be colts and new orleans.Im going for NO even tho they beat my cards. It'll be a tough game against the vikes, but theyll pull it off.

Sparky 01-23-2010 12:54 PM

the vikings entire defensive line is questionable :(

Pat Williams, Kevin Williams, Ray Edwards and now Percy Harvin's migraines are reoccurring.

A.P. is gonna have to really beast out.

The season ended for me week 17 when the Steelers were eliminated from playoff contention. If I had to pick a team I wanted to win though, I'd probably go with any team other than the Colts.

pourmeanother 01-24-2010 03:54 PM

Nice win. We keep that first half intensity, and it's ours. But, giving up that TD with a minute left in the first half deflated us. I await your choice.....

Freebase Dali 01-24-2010 07:28 PM

Wow. Vikes sure are playing hot-potato with that football...

Freebase Dali 01-24-2010 08:34 PM

Annnnd it's going to be Colts and Saints in the superbowl.
Saints came out of the championship game in an overtime win by just a field goal.

Pretty big moment for me, as this is the first Superbowl my home team (Saints) will go to. It's historic for us.

I just can't believe they won. The Vikes outplayed them on every front, but made too many mistakes with the fumbles and that COLOSSAL mistake by Favre when he didn't run that play that would have given them a great position for a tie-breaker field goal right before OT.
