I've been in America for almost a month and the sheer amount of American football on TV is ridiculous, most of it is college football. College footballs equivalent in the UK would be anything from pub standard soccer to non league level, the average Yank hasn't worked out one simple fact, college football isn't on TV because its great and millions love it, its on because the TV sports networks have many hours to fill and its a dull as fuuck. I didn't like American football before I arrived here and I like it even less now, I have no respect for it or the fat bastards that play it, they'd all **** themselves within five minutes on a rugby field.

Who's in the Super Bowl this year?

Just because you do not appreciate the sport doesn't mean you have the right to disrespect those who play the game. I feel that is an unnecessary comment to make. Also how about that rugby player that transferred to the NFL. How did it work out for him? Cut from one of the worst teams in the whole league right now.

Also the playoffs for the NFL have yet to be played so it will be a few weeks before the Superbowl teams are decided.

Is that why Jarred Hayne turning down one of the biggest Rugby contracts ever to play American Football?

Zhanteimi 12-27-2015 07:04 PM

I'm familiar with both rugby and gridiron, and from what I can see, gridiron players hit a lot harder than rugby players. Some say it's because of the illusion of safety under pads and helmets.
