How big are the Cleveland Browns? I mean in terms of stature and historical success.

Exo 12-01-2015 02:04 PM

They haven't won since the 60s and have been in the dumpster ever since.

Cuthbert 12-01-2015 02:14 PM

What did they win before that and how often?

You can be a big club without winning since the 60s. Are they looked at as minnows or a decent club?

Exo 12-01-2015 02:17 PM

What the f*ck are you talking about?

This is a strange way to ask what you're asking. I don't know. They have a decent sized fanbase. I have no idea.

Trophies are just one aspect of determining the size of a competitor or team (but are the biggest). Fan base, revenue, stadium size, brand, influence, wealth, current stars etc, are all factors too.

You can have a team that hasn't won something since the sixties (England) that would be considered to be bigger than a team that has won something relatively recently and would be considered to be minnows (Greece).

I wanted to know what the Cleveland Browns would be regarded as (and the reason is to get a better idea of whether their owner/previous owner ran them into the ground).

We don't really value these things. There are some really great players that aren't in the hall of fame because they didn't win a championship. My 49ers have won five championships and are considered a garbage team because they have been the last two years. NFL fans have very short memories.

Cuthbert 12-01-2015 02:56 PM

Ah right, I'm the opposite of that. I mean like I would consider the overall picture when judging their size and not just what happened last year, and the legacy/reputation that a short term success club isn't going to have.

Overall size and current quality/likelihood of someone winning an event I can distinguish between.

Let's not forget that the NFL is a league that is letting a man who beat the absolute sh*t out of his girlfriend and a man who beat the sh*t out of his toddler son...play. The league is a joke.
