Mora saying “playoffs” and Iverson saying “practice” are both so unforgettable.

It is a sad reality when the only thing that has made a person happy in weeks is the fact that he saw something and made a correct prediction about it only for said correct prediction to be minimalized and scoffed upon. I will commence to strive on in my miserable existence whilst trying to suppress this distastefulness.

And a good day to YOU, sir.

OccultHawk 01-11-2021 09:50 AM

Bama is favored by 8.5

I haven’t watched a single college football game this year

That said Ohio State has played 7 games and Bama 12

That’s five bye weeks!

Just by looking at the schedule and scores I’m taking Bama to win and beat the spread

The Batlord 01-11-2021 11:41 AM

If you're not gambling you don't need to worry about the spread.

Think of it as non-alcoholic beer.

Well, that might be even worse.

I just think it’s meaningless to pick winners only unless it’s March Madness.

lulzzz

OccultHawk 01-11-2021 10:08 PM

Bama killed the spread.

That was the first NCAA football National Championship I didn’t watch.

Weird.

SGR 01-15-2021 07:09 AM

Who's got some straight up picks for Divisional Round weekend?

I've got

Packers
Ravens

Chiefs
Saints

Rams to win
Bills to cover
Chiefs to cover
Bucs to win

That’s two long shots

The only thing we agree on is the chiefs.

That means we can still be friends. Chiefs are gonna win it all, all over again!

I wouldn't be totally surprised if the Rams won, but I don't have faith in Goff. Rams D looks good though. The Bills have suffered against the run game this year and the Ravens run game looks to be a serious strength in this matchup. As long as the game doesn't come down to a shootout, I expect the Ravens to win. Ravens don't play from behind that well because Lamar is off/on as a pure passer. Dude can make throws, but not consistently like a Mahomes/Brady/Allen can. I could see the Bucs winning - I don't have a lot of faith in their defense though. I don't like to bet against Tom Brady but the Saints have handled the Bucs twice already this season. I think that'll be a close game. I fully expect the Saints season will end in heartbreaking fashion - I just think it will be next weekend and not this weekend.

If they do that would be a nice payout with them being 6.5 point dogs

As long as they're the only dogs that win, I'm cool with that.

But I do want either a Chiefs-Bucs bowl (revenge for the 2018 AFC Championship against the Patriots) or a Chiefs-Packers bowl (revenge for Super Bowl 1)

bears did a great job at getting back on track to the playoffs

Was it by virtue of their performance and coaching or was it by virtue of their conference being dog**** compared to the AFC? Bears are keeping Nagy, probably keeping Trubisky and are going nowehere fast.

Yeah. I missed that one.

2 consecutive missed FGs from Justin Tucker, who is the best kicker in the league. And both times, the ball hit the upright.

Is Cody Parkey out there wearing a Justin Tucker disguise?

“If Vegas was going to predict this game correctly, the Bills would win by a score similar to 26-24 or 27-24. Here’s to hoping!”

This is a kind of persnickety point but the casinos don’t really predict the spread. It’s determined by the sports bettors. The house only adjusts the spread to make sure there’s an equal number of takers for both teams and ensures a house win by paying out only 90 cents on the dollar. My apologies if you already knew that.

Of course, but odds are generally looked at from the house end for touchstones, especially in fantasy.

Watched the browns game, I wanted them to win :o:

OccultHawk 01-17-2021 04:37 PM

I didn’t watch the game but that’s a respectable score for the Brownies.

Was any of that in garbage time?

No.

But unfortunately, Mahomes got a concussion - and he's out. I hope he's healthy for next weekend. Chad Henne, backup Chiefs QB, actually won the game for KC with his legs, scrambling. And then throwing a short pass to Tyreek Hill for a 1st down.

As a Chiefs fan, I can tell you, never bet on them to cover the spread. Bet on them to straight up win.

The payoff would’ve been like 50 cents to the dollar or less but that’s better than losing.

I don't see anyone but Green Bay winning the Super Bowl, esp. if Mahomes can't play next week. Would love to see the Bills win it, but I just don't see it.

Me either but the Any Given Sunday thing is true for both of the League Championship games this year. Don't see a clear advantage for any team.

Plankton 01-19-2021 09:21 AM

Cleveland does not rock but they put up one helluva fight.

...and Packers? I'm from the other side of the cheddar curtain, so:
