Less than 200 days before NFL kickoff is the plus side. I suppose I could try and watch the XFL if I'm that bored though |

All I can say about Lamar Jackson is buyer beware. Of course now the Ravens need a quarterback. Maybe Mayfield is still available?

Mayfield is already signed with the Bucs - but believe me, you're MUCH BETTER OFF with Snoop Huntley than you are with phoney fraud FAKER MAYFIELD. The Bucs must want to completely tank for draft selection next season and rebuild - only logical reason they'd sign him. https://media4.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2...aRty/giphy.gif |

yeah i meant get Jackson at a some what lesser deal cept whatever u offer him the ravens will just match ..or will they they might just wanna be done with this headache
either way i think he will have to play for less money if going to another team his value chat is prob worth two 1st but not three like watson was delt for either way he better just play for the ravens 1 more year and then ball out if he wanna gets the bag |

Lamar Jackson has already been franchise tagged. He is getting $32million this year no matter who he plays for. Any team that trades for him also trades for his contract. That's how it works. There are instances where a player negotiates a restructure but since hsi WHOLE deal is getting paid for what he feels is fair, he's not going to do that. |

Yeah, we could be better off with Huntley. At least he's game and may even be happy to be playing at all. Quote:

I sense the Ravens (or at least the fans) are done with prima donna Jackson as well. I'm not even sure if Jackson will even play for anyone this year. The fame has really gone to his head. |
I get the sense that many saw Jackson decide to not play (especially in the playoff game against the Bengals) with a PCL injury that wasn't 100% healed - the perception, I think, is that many would've played despite the injury - and that Lamar should've played and battled through it.
But I don't really begrudge him that decision - if he would've played and further reaggravated the injury and made it worse, that would make his goal of getting paid more difficult. At the end of the day, the guy was looking out for his best interests. I understand the frustrations of Ravens fans though with that decision, but as a neutral bystander, I think his decision made sense. He's now trying to explain the injury questions himself though - again, this should be getting done by an agent, not himself - as it puts him an awkward position. I can see a future where no team decides to trade for him - and he refuses to play for the Ravens in 2023 for 32 million (based on recent comments, it seems like he's done with Baltimore, whether he gets traded or not). If Lamar thinks he's worth more, and wants a guaranteed contract, and no other team is willing to pay that amount and give that contract, then a middle ground needs to be found at some point, if he's gonna keep playing (again, an agent would help). Also - what real weapons has Lamar had to throw to in the last couple years besides Mark Andrews, Hollywood Brown, and a washed up Sammy Watkins? With our without Lamar, I think the Ravens will be okay. They've been competitive for a while now - and if Snoop hadn't fumbled the ball at the goal line in that Bengals game (that got returned for TD), they had a very real chance of winning that game. Ravens are built for Lamar's playstyle, and Snoop plays like Lamar - he's not quite as talented, but he can win games if he doesn't have to put the team on his back all the time. |
Well, traditionally, the Ravens have always had a good running game, very good tight ends, Andrews just being the latest, and of course some legendary defenses.
So, yeah, I think they'll be okay too, especially as long as Cleveland makes boneheaded moves like that Watson signing. |
