Well, let's see what happens tomorrow. At this point the alternatives are obviously limited, but there still are some attractive options. If we play as we did in the 2nd half of the match against Portugal, the team will be definitely a serious candidate to the title.

But I'm afraid of the so-called Cardeñosa Syndrome (first diagnosed in the 1978 World Cup, at a match against Brazil). It's a pathological and worrying tendency to make the most stupid mistakes in decisive occasions. Time and time again...

The f***ing fate: when it's not the Swiss mafia, it's our own team.

Well, we just seen another one from Suarez.
Though he had little choice in the matter.
With the consequent missed penalty, Suarez could well have saved Uruguay.

Saurez has gone from clown to hero in a matter of 3 minutes.
That was great.

Gotta feel for the Ghana. Going out on penalties is never easy.

The Suarez handball and the missed penalty with the last kick of the match...was it justice?
Should that free kick leading to the penalty have been awarded in the first place?

I think the Ghana/Uruguay game just made me a football fan. Christ, I've never felt such suspense from any other sport whatsoever.

That's the kind of suspense, along with the right kind of controversy, that makes this the game it is.
