That Spain result is doubly bad for them because even if they do get though to the next round it means it'll be more than likely that they'll play against Brazil.

Shame they're basically out of the world cup now - it would've been nice to see them at least get to the second round. As you say though, they just plain lack the quality necessary to make a meal of this tournament.
If they beat France they would have 4 pts (A very tall order I know and unlikely) and also they have to hope that Mexico and France draw tomorrow which is very possible.

I think Mexico are a good side and a great passing team but they have no killer instinct as they showed against England in a recent friendly and its for this reason I don`t think they will get out of the 1st round. The main striker is Franco, who is hardly world class and failed to really impress with the hammers and also before with villarreal, I`ve always been a fan of Blanco but he`s an old man now of 37 I think!!!

And that's if they manage to get 3 points against Chile who, as Mojo said, looked terrific against Honduras. Sure, it was only Honduras (although they have got a certain world-beater by the name of Maynor Figueroa in their lineup), but I reckon they're more than a match for Spain, especially judging by most of their performance against the Swiss today. Again, it should be a great game we've got coming up.

Yeah, I was amazed when I saw Blanco come on against South Africa. I thought he'd have long since hung up his boots by now. I'm not so sure where their killer instinct is either, but I do think they've got what it takes to beat Uruguay. I think they might even have what it takes to beat the French too - France were absolutely abysmal in Euro 2008, and at best I can only see them scraping through to the knockout rounds. Then again, I was sure Spain would win today, so I've been wrong before.

Blanco is so distinctive with his hunchback style and Marquez has always been an impressive player, if Mexico can turn on the killer touch, they can certainly beat an un-inspiring French side, its a match that has 1:0 written all over it to either side. I fancied both to get out of the group but the deserved performances of Uruguay has changed all this.

Uruguay keeper on Saurez is the only one I can think of but he made contact and it was a sending off..

Definate sending off and onside as well. It was a sad sight seeing Bafana Bafana supporters leaving in droves before the final whistle.

I just had the "Shut the door on your way out" philosophy. I never expected them to go through, I hate it when people leave 10 minutes early. I get really irate about it. When I go and watch football I leave 2 minutes before the end of time regardless of the result due to traffic, but I see people leaving 10 minutes before end of time when we're winning by a healthy margin and they miss goals. Pisses me off even more who leave just because your team is getting beaten. Show some support South Africa! You might never get there again, enjoy every minute.

Suarez did make a lot of Khune's challenge, but for a start there was blatant contact, secondly it was miles away from the ball and thirdly the keeper went in feet first - basically the dictionary definition of a professional foul and therefore a stonewall penalty and red card.
