One of the best forum meltdowns I have ever seen happened over a football trivia question.

Some guy at this football forum I used to frequent asked who was the leading Premiership goalscorer of all time who hadn't scored more than one goal in a match.

During the next couple of pages of discussion & educated guesses Gary Speed's name popped up a few times. Then a Leeds fan came on & said that it wasn't him because he's seem him score two goals against Everton.

The thread continued with more guesses & still a few people mentioned Gary Speed. This Leeds fan popped up again & keep telling them it wasn't him because he'd seen him score two goals against Everton.

Then people started mentioning Gary Speed for the hell of it & still this Leeds fan would come back on & tell them he'd seen him score two goals against Everton. For about the next 30 pages EVERYBODY started saying it was Gary Speed and by now this Leeds fan was going mental , then when the thread got to about page 60 he announced that nobody was taking him seriously & he was leaving the forum.

And I never did find out what the answer was :(

Never trust a Leeds fan.

Q. What do Leeds fans and beer bottles have in common?

A. They're both empty from the neck up.

You'll stay up, it's just a matter of time yet. You're lot have as much chance as five other teams of slipping into the relegation spots, but you've got more than enough quality to stay up.

Gotta say, it's been an unusually exciting season this at both ends of the table.

Its been an exciting season for sure. I wouldnt have thought Boro or Newcastle would be where they are at this stage, Villa have done well to break the top 4 for the most part of the season even if they are falling away now and thats been exciting to watch. United losing back to back games the last couple of weeks has made the top of the league exciting again as well.

I think we'll stay up too, its just not exactly a friendly looking run in for us. Theres some worrying fixtures in there.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Sunderland | Fixtures

Results from Hull, West Brom, Pompey and Bolton will be more than enough but Pompey especially I think is one of those fixtures where you never really know how its gonna turn out and Bolton destroyed us the last time around, it was probably the worst weve looked all season. We could be looking more towards Boro and Newcastle continuing to lose really. I just hope we dont take it into the last day of the season!
