I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Newcastle get relegated. I mean look at their run in.

04 April 2009 Newcastle v Chelsea, 15:00
11 April 2009 Stoke v Newcastle, 15:00
19 April 2009 Tottenham v Newcastle, 13:30
27 April 2009 Newcastle v Portsmouth, 20:00
02 May 2009 Liverpool v Newcastle, 15:00
09 May 2009 Newcastle v Middlesbrough, 15:00
16 May 2009 Newcastle v Fulham, 15:00
24 May 2009 Aston Villa v Newcastle, 16:00

Yeah Newcastle have a terrible run in, as do Boro. They are definitely my picks for going down with West Brom, especially after Stoke beat Boro this weekend who were probably the next in line. Thats more or less why I think their run ins are probably more important for us than our run in. Ours is pretty worrying but potentially we can scrape by relying on their poor results.

I would like Boro and Newcastle to get relegated, they don't bring anything to the premiership and Boro have always been around the relegation area. I'll be disappointed if WBA get relegated as they have played some decent football but they just don't have the players to be successful!

Bah. I'd rather forget about this weekend. We were bloody terrible against Everton. As for that mong Zaki, I hope he never plays for us again.

jackhammer 04-06-2009 07:07 AM

Well we gave Man U a game anyhow. We may have lost (as per usual) but very few teams go to Old Trafford and have a go so no complaing R-T!

I thought Villa were the better team, until they went 2-1 up.
If you'd kept up the pressure you could have come out 3-1 winners.
Why did they try and consolidate and hit us on the break?

What about that winner from the 17 year old making his debut though?

jackhammer 04-06-2009 01:18 PM

Villa are lacking in confidence and we usually play on the break. What a damn shame. The last few weeks have been terrible :(
