Ferguson is a master of chucking out the crap. He saw you lot coming!

Silvestre was past his best and there were other players far better waiting to break into the team. Silvestre took his chance to leave when he had it, rather than settle for a peripheral role as a squad player.

Getting rid of players he thinks are not up to it isn't always his strong point.
Diego Forlan springs to mind, along with Jaap Stam and Ruud...we've still not replaced him yet.

I did say chucking out the crap. He has messed up a few times though. Jaap Stam is still a mystery to me.
