As far as I know, CL football isn't on terrestrial telly any more. I'm not even sure if the final is on terrestrial this year either, though I think BT sometimes air matches for free.

If you want I can try to get you a stream, there'll be loads for this.

Mr. Charlie 02-23-2016 10:42 AM

I have used streaming sites in the past to watch the Champions League but they're almost always blocky, choppy and suffer from buffering.

Mr. Charlie 02-23-2016 01:19 PM

Can't believe there's no Champions League on freeview anymore. What a sad state of affairs. :(

Listening to the match on BBC Radio 5, sounds like Arsenal are playing well.

Cuthbert 02-23-2016 01:36 PM

BT Sport are showing Juve vs Bayern if you have a freeview box to access the channel.

I do but my connection has been fucked for months, I only use my telly for PS4.

Goofle 02-23-2016 01:37 PM

Come on the Arse!

Cuthbert 02-23-2016 02:38 PM

Same old story for Arsenal. Will probably win 1-0 in Spain.

What were the goals like?

Goofle 02-23-2016 03:46 PM

Counter attack and a pen.

Giroud needs to die.

Laughing stock of England.

Happy to loan you the monikier for this season mate, but we probably deserve to keep it for getting Schteve in in the first place.

Goofle 03-05-2016 06:32 AM

Ramadan Ramsey! Get in! Need to win this game!

Cuthbert 03-05-2016 07:14 AM

Unlucky. I kind of feel sorry for Arsenal, but as a neutral fan Spurs are not dislikeable so if it's not Leicester they are the next best.

I can imagine the rage though.

Goofle 03-05-2016 07:48 AM

Classic game. Coquelin also needs to die.

Barkley >>>

Player I'm most excited about tbh. Seems to be back to his best this season.

Cuthbert 04-10-2016 10:20 AM

Leicester winning the league is the best achievement in sports ever.

Goofle 04-10-2016 11:02 AM

Definitely in football.

I've been close to tears quite a few times in regards to their wonderful achievement. None more touching than Ranieri after the game today.

Cuthbert 04-10-2016 12:55 PM

Yeah had a lump in my throat when I saw that. It's exactly what the PL needed imo. Great story all round. Even if Vardy might be a bit of an arse I'm happy for him and his rise to the top as well.

Just hope there isn't a bitter twist

Newkie 04-11-2016 06:17 AM

No twist, I can't believe the people in work still saying they expect them to slip up. Two months ago fair enough, but they're on the home straight now. Awesome for them, fair play, definitely the greatest achievement in football imo. Watching them has given me joy that Newcastle haven't in years.

Leicestershire schoolyards will be full of little Vardy's and Riyads in no time.

Gap down to five points if Spurs win, should still do it, but it's not over yet

Bernstein and King resign from board. Stan calling Gabby fat. Meant to be bad news for Villa coming at 11pm.

Black is right. Atmosphere at the club is toxic. Our players should be banned from Twitter.

Newkie 05-05-2016 04:04 AM

Spurs should have had about 6 players banned, they completely lost it! Hilarious to watch the implosion, fair play to Leicester.

Nzog is a mad one though, I mean as a Newcastle fan I can't really comment because we destroy plenty of careers, but he was absolute quality for us. Don't get me wrong, he had a really poor mentality and he was one of the first rats off the sinking ship, but I genuinely thought he'd do a lot better at Villa than he did.

Cuthbert 05-05-2016 04:13 AM

Tottenham really showed themselves up imo. Petulant, kicking them because they knew it had gone. Fair enough it's great for us to watch but it doesn't look good for them.

Harry Kane is certified btw, back to back 20+ goal seasons in the league at 22, scoring for England, scoring in big games.

It will be a disgrace when Rooney starts ahead of him in the Euros coming back from injury.

I know Woy is a complete knacker and obsessed with "big club" players and still seemingly has a Stockholm Syndrome-like obsession with Liverpool, but surely even he can't ignore Kane?

Vardy will be ignored and used for the last 6 minutes naturally, but Kane has to be England's number one. Especially as Rooney isn't even playing as a striker. And is still gash anyway.

Cuthbert 05-05-2016 06:56 AM

Roy is not going to drop the captain. It will probably be Kane up top with Rooney behind actually. But Vardy should be starting also, he's scored more than three times the goals Rooney has scored in the league this season, scored a belter vs Germany, wins the league - what more does he have to do?

Sends out a bad message to the players on the cusp of the first team when he does that/guarantees Wilshere a place even if he doesn't play for Arsenal.

Rooney has had enough chances now, he's managed to score the grand total of two tap ins in 12 years of tournament football for England. That is shocking.

I guarantee he'll do very little this summer as well. Plod along like a pub player, 2nd touch will be a tackle. Might scab another tap in or a penalty if we're lucky.

Hoping he falls over a cone in training and sprains his ankle and Vardy/Kane can take their rightful places in the England team

Goofle 05-05-2016 10:52 AM

Rooney won't start "ahead" of Kane, he will probably play behind the striker.

This is what I meant. Kane ahead Rooney, presumably one of Barkley or Alli missing out, but he might play all 3, you never know.

Ah you already said it. Yeah, I'd like to see Vardy on one of the wings because Kane and Rooney are guaranteed to start, but I don't think Woy will do it, I think he'll want to shove a more "stabilising" midfielder out wide. Vardy'll get 10 minutes to graft when we are chasing a game - despite the fact he'd work harder than most of our front line over 90 minutes anyway

Giggs is leaving Man U :( Knew it was going to happen when Jose was brought in, but still sad news nonetheless. Wish him all the best in the future.

£31.5m :o:

We could have had him back if we stayed up :(

Has the deal went through yet? Haven't been able to find anything except the bid online. Shame to see him leave another club, but I think he'll do better with Palace than he did with Liverpool.

Can't believe the money United are throwing around for Pogba, and if this goes through it will shatter transfer records. Welcome José I guess :p:

Cuthbert 07-05-2016 02:51 PM

The deal is not yet done. But if they're offering that sort of money, Liverpool will accept and he will want to live in London so it will go through imo.

With all the TV money flying about, this is the summer football goes crazy. £30m bid for Troy Deeney, £38m bid for Ighalo. Watford turning down £70m for those.
