Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-14-2017 02:00 PM

fire 50% of the team as well tbh

Cuthbert 05-14-2017 02:03 PM

Who do they get in?

Simeone, with Griezmann would be a madting.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-14-2017 02:04 PM

Lacazette. he's a tad overrated but still a great striker who could surely hold his own in the Prem.

Goofle 05-14-2017 02:08 PM

Lukaku, Lemar, Mendy and Koulibaly.

#MakeArsenalBlackAgain.

Chris Hughton as manager btw.

Thought you didn't rate Lukaku anyway :D

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-14-2017 02:23 PM

big man Romelu will go to Chelsea, no doubt. Koulibaly is a good shout, great defender.

Goofle 05-14-2017 02:45 PM

Not huge on Lukaku, but he would work better in our 3 at the back. Just give him service, less worry about build up.

Real Madrid News: Zinedine Zidane on James Rodriguez's wave goodbye amid Man United move | Football | Sport | Express.co.uk

just a rumour ofc but this is three years in a row this has been a story. not sure how i would feel about it, obviously we need help in the midfield and James is a star in the making, but i'm not sure how he would adapt tbf, think he's built for the Spanish style of footy. my list of midfielders i would like to see us sign would be

- keita
- matuidi
- mendy
- nainggolan
- bernardo silva

1 or 2 of those would be nice

Goofle 05-15-2017 05:30 PM

You need Douglas Costa.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-15-2017 05:52 PM

he's going to Juve

would rather us sign Willian if at all possible

Goofle 05-16-2017 04:27 AM

Yeah Willian would be better.

Cuthbert 05-16-2017 03:37 PM

6th confirmed.

If Ajax win the final this has to go down as a decline on LVG's second season. FA Cup > League Cup.

£150m spent?

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-18-2017 04:02 PM

harry kane is a ****ing monster

Yep. Yet there are still a few about who don't rate him.

He'll be one of the top three strikers in Europe at some point (needs to make a mark in Europe or for England, he's only really impressed in the league and this is **** all like the Messi argument)

Not hyperbole, best we've had since Shearer.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-18-2017 06:37 PM

and he's only 23. unbelievable really. the English born talent on their side atm is second to none in the premier league really.

Cuthbert 05-19-2017 12:07 PM

I'm expecting a lot from him next season, summer off this year and hopefully avoid any injuries then come out firing right from the start. World Cup on it's way so he will want to be starting for England.

He's not world class yet btw.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-21-2017 12:06 PM

yeah, didn't do much though, only entered in the last few minutes. was nice seeing the youngsters play though, we've got a few gems in the system right now which has me hopeful for the future.

Goofle 05-21-2017 03:57 PM

Yessssssssss

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-21-2017 04:53 PM

i'll hold off on talking **** about Arsenal playing in the Europa league until we play Wednesday.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-23-2017 09:22 AM

Gylfi looks to be moving to Everton. nice signing imo, very excited to see what he can do playing for a decent side.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-23-2017 03:14 PM

any good websites to buy kits from? looking to buy a Roma kit but i'm fussy about it needing to have a player name and number. over 100 CAD to buy it from the team website and they don't have very much on world soccer shop.

I use Classic Football Shirts cos they have older ones and also player issued stuff but for Canada I don't know. Shipping will take the piss for you.

EBay could be an option if you use common sense and check seller history.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-23-2017 05:27 PM

130 with conversion and shipping from the website. nuts. i'll probably pass for a little while longer i guess. was looking for a Nainggolan kit but i just can't justify that kind of money.

edit - classic football shirts is nice, too expensive tbf but they have some really nice stuff.

Cuthbert 05-23-2017 07:09 PM

It's the best one tbh the player issues especially I've got an England shirt but you need an elite physique to wear it.

Club shops sometimes are worth trying. Also you can buy the shirt with no name and take it to a shop to get it printed I've done that before. Was £5

Goofle 05-23-2017 07:14 PM

Or get a large and go baggy etc.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-24-2017 04:20 AM

im torn. the way i see it is

1) we win. we make it to the champions league and if we're lucky we get bumped out in the 1st or 2nd round, worst case we don't even make it through the group stage. this also allows for us to sign Griezman and James while maybe keeping De Gea, but because we like to spend big $$$ we probably won't even address the issues that are most important, instead spending well over 150 mil on Griezy and James combined.

2) we lose. with no champions league football Griezmadting won't come without the promise of CL football, and James would be a questionable one. this forces us to aim for smaller, more affordable and sensible players in the areas where we truly need it instead of just wasting all of our budget on the big names. we definitely lose De Gea in this situation though. maybe we challenge for a top 3 spot without continental football.

Goofle 05-24-2017 09:12 AM

James would be such a silly signing in my opinion. You want to be giving Pogba more freedom, rather than less.

i agree. we also have more than enough players who can play in an attacking/playmaking midfield role. we need a replacement for Michael Carrick.

this transfer window will be a total joke. we'll spend more than last year and finish outside of top 4 again.

Cuthbert 05-24-2017 01:19 PM

Ajax

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 05-24-2017 04:08 PM

today was a good day

Cuthbert 05-27-2017 07:06 AM

Underwhelming Cup Final today.

Up The Arse though. Rather them have the record than MU. Then they can announce Wengy's two year contract
