Sounds interesting enough, so I guess I'll look out for it myself. I still haven't seen the Damned United, which sounds excellent (even Mark Kermode liked it).

Oh definately. It's my wife's birthday soon...I might treat her to a night out. ;)

Haven't properly followed football for a couple of years, used to be a Chelsea fan but find it difficult to care about 'em these days. Might start going to Orient games as they're fairly near me.

To be honest, England are pretty overrated and the rankings don't mean much. Our team are pish... we all saw that during the qualifiers for EURO 2008 (but I'm not complaining because Russia put up a better show than we would have).

ROFL. You must be desperate and if any other team took him on you would be ripping the piss HOWEVER if one set up can get the best out of him then it is Man U and he could be a fantastically astute buy.

I'm more worried about your signing Valencia to be honest. Good player, sure, but he's definitely not the next Ronaldo.

Then again I'm probably just bitter that we've lost another one of our best players. I've said it before, but I have a bad feeling about next season.

Portsmouth are close to selling Peter Crouch but are waiting for a formal offer from the club the striker wants to join - AC Milan.

Milan have declared their interest in the England striker but have not made a written bid. Sources close to the Italian giants claim it will be tabled this week.

Sunderland have set the standard in bids for the marksman. They have offered £14million, and are ahead of Fulham in the Premier League bidding war.

Cash-strapped Pompey accept Crouch will be moving on. A deal is expected to be ratified in the next fortnight.
WTF

There's about as much chance of that happening as United selling Ronaldo to Madrid, Tevez to City, then buying Michael Owen.
Next you'll be telling me that John Terry's been offered £200,000 a week!

What you reckon they do with the savings they got when acquiring Owen?
