All the progress under Gate will be lost.

Also there is a Canadian smashing the goals in for Rangers right now not sure if you've been paying attention. He is thirty however.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 11-14-2018 08:00 AM

scott arfield? yeah, played with burnley for years. wasn't good enough for the scotish team so he came and joined us :D

Cuthbert 11-18-2018 08:56 AM

England have the last laugh. Sir Harry wins it and the score is England 2 - 1 Croatia, England make their second semi final this year and England have relegated Croatia to League B :)

England top the group that included World Cup finalists and a big hitter in Spain.

Well done to our team. Looking forward to the semi finals :)

3rd January - Man City vs Liverpool

Liverpool win and it's ten point gap. I think it will be a good, open game with both teams looking to attack. Tough to call this one. I can see a score draw but with Fernandinho back I think if either team is going to win it, it will be MC. Hope Liverpool can avoid defeat here.

Surely you are watching the match tonight?

I like Ole. Nice guy. One of those guys it's difficult for supporters of any team to say bad things about. Like John Terry. Couldn't ask for a nicer manager.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 01-03-2019 10:53 AM

will be if i'm off work in time. 2-0 liverpool i think. reckon there's a team that will beat them?

not saying they won't lose this year btw, just don't see a team who can come close atm outside of City.

Cuthbert 01-03-2019 11:01 AM

Can't see MC failing to score tonight. BTTS looks nailed on to me, I think either a score draw or MC winning by one goal. A ten point gap would all but end the title race, MC wouldn't come back from that and Spurs have no chance as it is. Its for this reason I don't think Liverpool will win tonight.

There's a long way to go still, plenty of opportunities for freak results. If they get to the end of April still unbeaten then I'd say they could do it.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 01-03-2019 11:25 AM

i would love to see a bottlejob that leads to Spurs taking over 1st place but doubt it happens

would rather see liverpool keep going than man city win the league

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 01-03-2019 03:07 PM

well

Cuthbert 01-03-2019 03:22 PM

Went as expected really. Thought it was a pretty good game with both sides attacking, not much in it between the teams but Liverpool seemed to be missing something extra tonight. Lacked a bit of attacking nous. Their left back looks really good BTW.

Ultimately I don't think this is going to mean much, Liverpool will still win the league and MC will be caught on an off day by someone else before the season is over. Suppose it keeps the title race somewhat interesting for now.

Cuthbert 01-08-2019 01:32 PM

Sir Harry just got his 20th goal of the season. He's gonna get 40+ again

Welp, the votes are in. Can a mod please merge this thread with the European Football thread?

Frownland 01-15-2019 05:59 PM

I'll merge it with the American Football thread too so that we can have an Official International Football Thread.

All I've ever wanted.

Cuthbert 01-19-2019 11:45 AM

Good win for Wolves today, hopefully they can get one more season out of Ruben Neves, which I doubt. But they have the foundations of a really good team, only needs a 20 goal striker and more depth.

Cuthbert 01-26-2019 09:17 AM

Merge the League Cup with the Scottish and Welsh equivalents. Rename it the Britannia Cup. Invite Welsh and Scottish teams. Keep the same format, adjust for added places.

Every other World Cup should be hosted jointly in England and Scotland, with the opening fixture being a repeat of the world's first international, England vs Scotland, at The Oval. Let's be honest it's the only way Scotland are going to qualify now.

Sell Wembley and have the England national team tour the country. The match at Elland Road was ten times better than any match at Wembley, ever.

Return the Champions League to champion vs champion in knockout format, reducing the amount of games and no more bloated and boring group stages. If you want a European League competition do that with the Europa.

Hit Man City, Chelsea and PSG with £100bn fines. Bulldoze their stadiums if not paid within 7 working days. Use the money to invest in infrastructure and grass roots football around Europe.

These are my policies for football reform.

OccultHawk 02-23-2019 12:28 PM

Leicester City sucks the dong!

Me too. A few years ago I'd have wanted them out of it. Not any more.

For the title or this match? This is MU's most important game of the season against their biggest rivals, I don't see Liverpool winning. Expect a fantastic game either way though.

OccultHawk 02-24-2019 04:24 AM

I don’t know about the title

I mean the match

Win probability for Liverpool 41%
Man U 31%
Draw 28%

Paying out at 240/100 a draw might be the best bet. They already have 11 draws combined. I hear what you’re saying about Manchester United because history has a way of making its way on the field (or pitch) in sports. Soccer is a bitch of a sport to bet on because of prevalence of draws. But I might have put a little something Liverpool. They’ve only given up 15 goals and Man U has 35. That’s a big defensive deficit.

Cuthbert 02-24-2019 07:35 AM

MU have had two players go off injured already and Rashford looks dodgy too.

I think Liverpool have this. Those injuries have changed things.

Now my man Sturridge is coming on.

OccultHawk 02-24-2019 11:49 AM

****ing draw

lol - I goddamn ****ing even said it might be the best bet but goddamnit if I knew it why didn’t I ****ing bet on it.

****!!!

Cuthbert 02-24-2019 12:42 PM

That was there for the taking for Liverpool after those injuries.

They are actually bottling it again. MC will still slip up but Liverpool are doing their best to throw this away.

Cuthbert 03-02-2019 12:04 PM

This beautiful boy came back from three months out and did this today.

Go Jack <3

OccultHawk 03-02-2019 04:05 PM

I bet on Arsenal to draw! No more bets this month. Not until April.

On a run bitches!!!

Cuthbert 03-10-2019 03:12 AM

If we win today, we go four points off a play off spot with ten games to go

Big game, UTV 💜💙

Cuthbert 03-10-2019 06:13 AM

I can't believe what I've just seen.

Someone ran on and attacked Jack. Punched him. Animals.

It's the worst thing I've ever seen in football mate, and it could have been much worse. Thank the lord he is a drunken 4ft nonce!

Unbelievable.

Cuthbert 03-16-2019 03:54 PM

Congratulations to Wolves. Really pleased to see their progress.

Let's hope they can win the FA Cup now.

🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

OccultHawk 03-17-2019 02:42 PM

I know this is old news but I just discovered one of Atlanta United’s top lads, Miguel Almirón, from last year has been picked up by Newcastle United and wiki says he’s making £21,000,000

That’s some bankroll right there son

We’re not doing so well without him though :(
