Anyway they lost 1-0 to a ridiculous penalty decision. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5_qACi6-lU 1:18, the ball was blasted at him from a couple of yards away and he tried to move, no way is that a pen. https://twitter.com/ColinMurray/stat...26683108233218 |

Italy should win the second leg though.
I'm glad England qualified but I would have loved a tense qualifier as opposed to these wank friendlies. I didn't even watch England last night. |

i hate int friendlies. nothing on the line but players health. there’s no need for them during qualification periods. in between tournaments, sure.

ROI got the draw against Denmark, I'd say they will go and win the second leg at home 1-0 and qualify.
Switzerland vs Northern Ireland, 5pm UK time. 2nd leg, Switzerland 1-0 up. 3-1 Switzerland I think. |

I dunno: Danes were the ones more likely to score last night. We never got near the goal, and the one time we did nobody could capitalise. Sure it's good to be at home, but we missed the chance to take an away goal back with us, which could be precious. 1-1 at the Aviva destroys our chances. Maybe if Houlihan and Long are back, who knows, but we're talking days here so that's prob unlikely. Randolph was our MOTM, so what does that tell you?

Tonight:
Italy vs Sweden, 7:45pm limey time. Sweden 1-0 up from the first leg. The glorious Azzurri, or a nation who have surrendered their country? Do it for the Pieta, for Pavarotti, and for Pizza. Come on lads. |
