Well, no one is forcing them to do it. I don't think that roosters can say that.

► A Welterweight bout between Mickey Gall [5-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC] and former KOTC Welterweight Champion, former UFC Lightweight Championship contender and Ultimate Fighter 1 winner Diego Sanchez [28-11 MMA, 17-11 UFC] has been booked for UFC 235 on March 2nd in Las Vegas. Gall is most famous for spoiling WWE superstar Phil "CM Punk" Brooks' MMA debut.

I know you're using hyperbole, but no, he doesn't. He paid Chuck Liddell $400,000/year for the better part of a decade NOT to fight.

MMA is a legit sport with rules in place to protect fighters who willingly put their lives on the line in a controlled environment.

Relax it was a joke.

THat number is definitely bull****. Dana has lied about numbers before and I see no reason to believe that one. A lot of that wasnt to not fight anyways, it was royalties on stuff sold of his.

Lol...i'm not arguing that Valentina is not a good striker or Joanna for that matter they are both good strikers but that fight was boring Valentina was in total control of that fight and there was no urgency at all to be aggressive or go for the finish she was basically cruising to a decision even when she ragdolled Joanna to the ground she barely did anything and Joanna looked like she was sparring she was very tentative and barely landed anything significant...It was a "technical" striking display but no one really went for it

I'm not the only on who thought the fight was boring the majority of the MMA forums i saw had basically the same reaction to the fight I guess that's a whole lot of people that "do not understand a good standup fight"....or people that realize when a fighter who has a significant size advantage and was in control of the fight doing bare minimum and doing just enough to get the decision.

Of the 8 fights that I cared about this weekend, I correctly predicted 5 winners [63%]; Michael Chandler, Liam McGeary, Edson Barboza, Charles Oliveira and Zak Cummings.

================================================== ================================================== ==================

Former UFC Heavyweight Championship challenger Francis Ngannou [12-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC] vs. 4-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasques [14-2 MMA, 12- UFC] is in the works to headline UFC on ESPN 1 on February 17th in Phoenix, Arizona.

Ngannou broke a 2-fight losing streak with a 45-second TKO over Curtis Blaydes [10-2-0-1 MMA, 5-2-0-1 UFC] in November. Velasquez hasn't competed since July of 2016, where he TKO'd Travis Browne [18-71 MMA, 9-7-1 UFC].

UFC Lightweight Charles Oliveira's submission victory over Jim Miller at UFC on FOX 31 earned him the record for most wins via submission in UFC history.

Vitor Belfort is in negotiations to come out of retirement in 2019. I hope he goes to Bellator. I think the fight industry throws around the word "retire" WAY too much LOL.
