I bought 10 brand new Quantegy cassettes. They're normally not available in the Netherlands, so I'm glad I found them. I bought them just because it's intresting that you can still buy brand new (not NOS) cassettes anno 2011
I think you stabbing the little airbag things was the highlight of the video for me.

Allright. Not just audio

Bootsale gains for today. And the coffee was ready.
A walkman, a yamaha active speaker, a dreamcast, a firewire cable and a sony camera.

The audio bits:

about 75 dollar cents, for a friend who collects walkmans. With the original bag.

This very nice Yamaha active speaker for 2,5 dollars. Sounds rather good and makes an awful lot of noise.

And then, bit off but it does record sound

This nice sony cybershot for three dollars. The battery compartment is held shut with tape, but otherwise it works very good. Should find me a memory stick pro, haven't got any of those.

About the Dreamcast: One DC on the picture is mine.
But it's pretty hard to get your hands on those nowadays and the new one looks better. And it was 3 dollars. Yeah.

The picture of that speaker makes it look epic.

Haha, it's pretty tough to make it look impRezZive. It's tiny. Or at least for me.

All five for a euro (about 80 dollar cents)

And this

Which is an east-german budget tape. A friend of mine is trying to collect every tape possible and start an online database. He didn't have this one yet

Couldn't resist it for 10 dollars.
MD drive works perfectly. Nearly new. Hasn't been used more than 10 times.
the CD drive took the beating. One of the cogs that makes de drawer move misses a bit. It stops halfway, give it a push and it will happily come out.
I'll find a new cog for that and it'll be good as new

You seem to accumulate stuff, s_k .. Where do you find place to stash it all? I just had to throw away an old Denon amplifier because I didn't have room for it!

The last audio stuff I got were these funny little speakers which I'm now trying to get rid of, a couple of APM-007AVs which is a collaboration between Sony and APM. They're square and each speaker has an amplifier in it. I'd get a picture of them, but someone else who have some exact same-looking ones from another forum already did it, so I'll just hotlink their picture instead

I tried to sell them on the net, but there were no offers and so now I'm wondering how I can get rid of them I don't have a power adapter to power both so I need one for each .. and while I do have that, I find it rather impractical. Anyways, here they are :

Frigging big house this. I'm only using up 10% of the basement's space. And I don't keep everything I buy. I sometimes sell stuff I don't use. Only I don't post that here

Duuude, there's at least one member here searching high and low for an amplifier. Don't throw **** away man, bring it to thrift stores, put it up on ebay, don't throw stuff away

Sony made some beautiful speakers with square woofers. I don't think the square woofers will do the sound any good, but it's nice to look at .
You should donate those to one of those poor ****ers who listen to music through their laptopspeakers. May not be a huge improvement, but it's an improvement nonetheless.

Hahaha, you could buy yourself a power adapter. You'll have to, as they've got little amplifiers in them. They're meant to be used with a walkman or discman or such. They won't provide you with hi fi sound anyway, so yeah, you might want to get rid of them

I have power adapters, I just don't have the kind of two-in-one adapter that they should have. Thus, I need to use two power sockets for a pair of speakers which is a bit much! But yeah, maybe I'll just dump them on someone with laptop speakers .. I have a feeling some might be willing to pay a bit for them though. They're in good shape, but yeah, the sound quality is so-so .. Still have value as curiosities I guess.

edit :

The amplifier was broken, although I'm not sure how serious it was. I think it overheated and broke when in a place with poor ventilation. I'm not sure how hard it would be to fix, but I figured it wouldn't be worth it in the end anyways.
