Never owned an SG before, but I'm really happy with the tone so far. Now if only my middle finger wasn't so swollen I could do a little bit more with it.
Please play either AC/DC or Sabbath as your first song. It's only right.

I actually got a faded one instead of one with a finish, I just couldn't find a decent picture of it. I'm really enjoying it though, great action, great tone, and a really nice feel. I kind of wish I had gone the SG route a decade ago when I got my Tele, because I feel this guitar is more my style.

My first guitar lust way back in like 1972??? was an SG. There was one hanging in the local mom and pop music store that looked exactly like this.

I think is was tagged at $800 or so. I would lie awake at night thinking about that guitar.

Enjoy your new fiddle man!

I just got my US strat setup after years of playing it not. The tone is so pure now that my entire playing style has to be changed.

So I got a Gretsch resonator, first guitar... And the first song I've been learning is the intro to Beginner's Guide to Suicide. All nonstandard tuning and lots of slide. I'm either a goddamn poet or a hipster.

Also my bf has the classic SG, and the full hookups of Liz Buckingham (Electric Wizard). All he's missing is the chrome mudflap girl. He loves it.

My bandmate just bought a Gretsch resonator last month and has been using it almost exclusively for slide and open tunings, they're great instruments. Go grab yours and yell into the resonator.
