That really puts things into perspective.

I traded my Randall RX412 cab and $125 and now have a Peavey VK212

Really dug that man, reminds me a bit of myself when I got a behringer delay, boss delay, and some loop pedal going on once. It was sweet.

So I've been looking around for a rig that I can haul everywhere since my rehearsal / gigging rig is a cumbersome beast far too powerful for bedroom jams (MESA Single Rectifier Solo 50 Head / Laney IRT212 Cab). Yesterday I managed to get ahold of a local guy on Craigslist and picked up a MESA Mark III Combo (all tube - 75W / 15W simul-class - two EL34 and 6L6 power tubes, five 12AX7 preamp tubes) for $800. It's a mammoth for its size. Must weigh at least 60 pounds and the thing cranks more than enough for rehearsals / gigging at full power, despite being only a 1x12. Flip the power switch down to 15W class A and you've got yourself an impressive all tube practice amp for at home, and being a MESA with all of the gain wizardy that comes along you can easily push the tubes at low volumes. Fantastic thick cleans, huge versatile vintage MESA distortion. All I want to do is go home and play it for the rest of the day.

Nice Boogie! I have one of these.

I'd be careful putting your lap top on top of those speakers unless the magnets are shielded!

I looked so hard for an Express 5:25 and almost got one for $700 but the guy never replied to my email. Wasn't about to pay $1500 for a new one.

What do you typically use for a practise amp? I think I've seen you post it before but I've forgotten.

Oh man my ears are watering, I would love to try one of those some day. The Greg V demos are so good.
