I've always thought it doesn't matter what brand of guitar you use, or how expensive it is, if you like it and it sounds good to you that's all that matters.
A half decent player can make the cheapest, nastiest guitar or bass sound good - it's in the player not the instrument.
I have a £2500 Martin electric acoustic, but prefer the feel of my son's £200 Fender
