^I believe singers are the most talented, it's just a lot harder to learn to do well, you either can sing or you can't.

It would be cool to jam with a good drummer that sings, since I play bass & voice. Thats good to know you play Drums & sing jackhammer.

littleknowitall 11-21-2007 06:21 AM

What sort of a bassist are you? level/ standard of playing, rig, influences etc.

TheCaster 11-27-2007 12:00 PM

About half a year of guitar.. the only instrument i actually enjoy play for hours a day

I was forced into piano by my parents for 9 years and hated every second

dramababe 11-27-2007 09:56 PM

None

I dont play any instruments yet!!

I really want to get into playing the piano. I have a keyboard and I play some stuff on it but I'm not very good. I'd like to take some classes and become really good. My cousin plays and he's amazing. He's like a huge hit in Chicago Piano Bars :)

I started doing that, but i dont have a good enuf mic at the moment to record and amplify my "decent" voice. ( i say that because its really not that great, but good enuf i guess)

Both are traditional Japanese instruments-- the shamisen is sort of like a three-stringed banjo-like instrument (it might be a distant relation to the sitar?) http://www.aikidoitalia.org/public/g...e/shamisen.jpg

The shakuhachi is an end-blown flute made of bamboo, probably related to the Chinese xiao. The shak is commonly associated with Zen Buddhism.

I used to have a few different beginner shaks, but now I have only one, a really good but inexpensive one for $450. Ones made from the root can run around $1000 or much higher.

Now If I could get my hands on a koto... http://spice.stanford.edu/digests/gifs/koto002.png

I play the guitar, bass, drums and violin.
And I REALLY want to learn how to play the piano.

Musical frog 12-03-2007 07:12 PM

piano, guitar, harmonica

amandamcmadrox 12-09-2007 12:47 AM

Here it goes...

Guitar (taking classes in school)
Drums (taking classes in school)
Bass (self taught)
Clarinet (been playing for 5 years but I really haven't touched it in a while)
Keyboard/Piano (self taught)

I'd have to say out of any of those, I really want to continue working in percussion. Right now I'm just learning basic skills for the snare drum, drumset, and mallet instruments. I'm learning a lot of rudiments that most people don't know about. I'm just seeming to pick it up quickly and I alsolutely love it. Music always comes easy though and it's definetly a passion of mine.

EuanElliot 12-10-2007 12:22 PM

guitar ( a bit)
bass (a bit more than guitar)
drums (7 years playing (1/2 my life :O)

i sing, play piano, play guitar, play drums, play bass and baritone

dmackey2 12-20-2007 12:58 AM

So I play trumpet, baritone, tuba, piano, ukulele. If Ukulele counts. I had a weird mom who wouldn't let me learn guitar in the house.

I'm suprised at how well I am able to pick up other instruments just through knowing theory through keyboard.

setekh 12-22-2007 05:33 PM

I'm a bassist

although I've been leaning towards keyboards for a bit...maybe I'll get the guts to start all over again with a new instrument soon ;)

YSHKMWYHTC 12-24-2007 05:33 PM
