The name alone got me! Reminds me of a more stripped down version of Pig Destroyer which is no bad thing. Very decent.

Oranssi Pazuzu - Kosmonument (2011)

These guys sound like what would happen if Pink Floyd and Darkthrone had a child, super spacey weird psychedelic songs with a black metal delivery. Really the only other band I can compare them to would be Natchmystium, but I think these guys are weirder. Their 2009 album Muukalainen Puhuu (translates into "The stranger speaks") is a good place to start if you're interested.

Maybe you can help me. There was another sort of avant garde black metal group that released an album around that time (I believe). The cover was sort of tan/brown and had an image of a black goat head on it. It's bothering the hell out of me.

Me too, I'm not sure. I'm not too hot about it. At one point I stopped it and started listening to The Eraser. I need to warm up to it still.

Reminds me of early Aerosmith mixed with the White Stripes with a more pronounced laid back blues feel with tons of slide guitar & harmonica.
I like it.
