wow you are either really dumb
or
you just posting to get your post count up

either way you come of looking like an idiot. :)

cardboard adolescent 05-08-2007 03:18 PM

woah.. that was trippy

sleepy jack 05-08-2007 03:32 PM

That band name is pretty sexy, ill listen when I have proper speakers.

swim 05-08-2007 03:48 PM

I was listening to it at the same time I was listening to Kite Flying Society- on accident, and I was cool CA scream like a mofo and then the beats started to not line up anymore and I was all like damn.

enemyat_thesix 05-10-2007 07:26 AM

pretty tight, man; i can dig me some avant-garde noise once in awhile.

nice acid mothers temple namedrop, too, by the way.

'the mothership has landed' is awesome. much more coherant and collected than 'scream'.

cardboard adolescent 05-20-2007 02:24 PM

Yeah, I uploaded a new song. It's probably still processing and not up there yet.

cardboard adolescent 05-20-2007 04:05 PM

I ****ed up when I uploaded it at first, but it's up now.

sleepy jack 05-20-2007 04:27 PM

Its goodd.

lolz@basicallyuselessposts.

cardboard adolescent 12-13-2007 01:14 AM

I put up like two or three new songs... they're basically all drum machine, frequency generator and random samples I pulled from here and there, very different from what I started out doing.

cardboard adolescent 01-19-2008 07:40 PM

I welcome you to be brutally honest:

cardboard adolescent 01-24-2008 03:13 PM

This seems like a pretty unlikely request, but I figured it's worth making anyway. Basically I'm looking for a skilled vocalist (ie someone who can hit notes) because I can't sing but I think vocals are an essential element to my music. So basically I could keep recording my own ****ty vocals or I could try to find someone else to do it instead. Basically I would probably write the lyrics and attach them to sheet music plus I'd send the beat of the song or whatever else you need to record a vocal track. Unless of course someone has their own lyrics and what not and is interested in more of a collaboration. In any case, there is no money involved in this whatsoever. It would just be for shits and giggles, and pride or whatever else. As I said, an unlikely request, but there it is.

cardboard adolescent 02-01-2008 04:13 PM

I put up a new song in case any of you are interested,
it's called "Methods of Ascent and Dissent."
It's the first song at MySpace.com - The Incredible Flying Torture Orchestra - CHICAGO, Illinois - Experimental / Concrete / Healing & EasyListening - www.myspace.com/tifto
And I think you lose a lot through MySpace's
audio compression so it would probably sound
better if you downloaded it (it has a fair amount of depth)

In any case, I'd be grateful if anyone
listened and gave their opinion.

jackhammer 02-01-2008 04:40 PM

I will certainly give it a listen and you raise a very moot point about compression. I think so many people are genuinely unaware how much is lost sonically through compression and in this age of downloadable albums are we getting the full deal?

I think CA would be interested in your stuff...if he hasn't heard it already.

pheurton 02-08-2008 08:05 AM

he knows where I am if he needs me

cardboard adolescent 02-10-2008 09:26 PM

mm i was thinking something a bit more
melodic it's not really making the music
more abrasive that i need help with

If you're really bored, feel free to check out this 9 minute long jam (song will automatically start) I recorded with my brother today. And if you manage to work up the motivation to click on the link and listen to the first couple seconds, you could maybe even give some feedback. Hell, constructive criticism - well, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself there. If you feel like it don't bother clicking on it at all and just tell me it was a piece of shi t.

If you do make it through, I would be most grateful if you could give it some kind of rating on a scale of bad - terrible.

kinda reminds me of lustmord........if you dont know he is go check him out oh and dustbox as well

cardboard adolescent 02-19-2008 04:38 PM

here's a new song/work in progress that i'd really like some opinions on.
originally my thought was to write a story and just read it over the music,
so it would be an album and a book/short story all in one
i might abandon that idea. this would technically be the second track,
plays right after my song "epilogue" so the intro is a
continuation of the outro on that one...
as such it takes a while to build up momentum

killer track.......the only problem I have is the way the beat changes in 2:59....but other then that i really like it.

cardboard adolescent 02-20-2008 01:15 AM

do you not like the new beat or do you think the transition is too rough? i personally thought it fit the riffing a bit better.

Farfisa 02-20-2008 03:09 AM

I just thought the transition was kinda rough......other then that its fine

cardboard adolescent 03-23-2008 10:20 PM

time to pimp my sh!t some more,
i uploaded three new songs
(HERE: MySpace.com - The Incredible Flying Torture Orchestra - CHICAGO, Illinois - Experimental / Concrete / Healing & EasyListening - www.myspace.com/tifto)
despite the fact that i was planning
on giving them vocals and incorporating them into
some sort of overly ambitious concept album.

i figured instead i'd put them out there and
see if they garnered any positive feedback.
(that's where you come in)

:)

Lizzie 03-23-2008 10:47 PM

Okay, I've always ignored this thread, 'cause I never felt like actually listening to it
But I actually really liked your songs on your myspace

Of your new ones, Severely Fragmented was probably my favorite, I just though that the overall effect of it was pretty cool and random
I liked Bach Bloody fingertips, but really hated the intro bit

But I must say, I am impressed

sleepy jack 03-23-2008 11:05 PM

Bach's Bloody Fingertips: It was nice but I kind of feel like the outro was a bit of a let down. Like it just sort of trailed off, maybe if you had like a giant crash or explosion of music or some sorts? I don't know.

Severely Fragmented: I didn't finish listening to this because it's not really my thing. Too scary =X but I got like a minute and a half in before stopping and the guitar (I think its a guitar) distorted noises sounded cool.

Her Majesty: I think this one was definitely my favorite, I really liked it.

cardboard adolescent 03-23-2008 11:16 PM

yea, bach's bloody fingertips is kind of anti-climactic and has a very slow opener (torture is part of the point) so needs some improvement.

ProggyMan 03-23-2008 11:17 PM

Her Majesty is certainly your best.

Jesus Is Alive I like to.

mmhmm, That one was probably my least favorite song on there
It just seemed rather dull to me, not nearly as good as the other songs

pheurton 03-27-2008 10:02 AM

Could you possibly hook me up with a d/l?

cardboard adolescent 03-27-2008 11:23 AM

of course, for any song in particular?

pheurton 03-27-2008 05:03 PM

Your piano pieces definitely.
