I feel like I'm being forced to defend something right-wing I said with little knowledge as to what that is. Nothing thus far has convinced me that I've done so. The closest I can think of was saying that Ted Cruz obviously offers something to the electorate that keeps getting him re-elected and simply casting off that said electorate as a bunch of idiots wasn't exactly a fair conclusion. Not that that something would force me to vote for him either because if there's a right-wing politician that falls on my ****list Cruz is definitely up there. Other than that, what gives? |

**** like this makes me wonder if this was all a troll and I'm an idiot for even participating in it. I'm thinking it was. |

I started when I first joined in a discussion with Chula and he pegged me the same way. Then I also shared my own independent thoughts on accountability that wasn't fed to me by my therapist, it was actually a diatribe I went on with my therapist because a lot of what bothers me about the people I've surrounded myself with is the lack of accountability people want to take as they end up trying to shove it on others. Such as, my dad being an abusive piece of **** and never taking responsibility for it by admitting it and getting help. Instead he'd blame it on his job, my mom or on us. Edit: It's just more proof that you guys like to jump to conclusions based on little things. |
They like to pounce on statements that come off as defensive. If I were Anthony Fantano I'd give that strat a light five out of 10 for reliability. Which puts it about halfway to To Pimp A Butterfly.
|
Defensiveness is not a sign of something at all. People just genuinely don't like being identified as something they don't identify themselves as.
There's a whole gender pronoun issue going on over that fact. |
You get the occasional open borders libertarian.

Yeah I was gonna say most libertarians are pro open borders. That's not really a rare occurrence.
|
Yep, actualibertarianism.

Most people I've met that consider themselves libertarians are pro-border control. Most people I know are also poorly educated. |

I think that the 20 pages of arguing has deflated me quite a bit. I'm gonna hang it up for tonight. |

You can be pro-immigration and not support illegal immigration at the same time.
|
The libertarian platform supports the least amount of immigration laws as possible if not an open border policy.
|
I think its pretty silly to have a specific stance on immigration. The policy should be based around the countrys capacity to support the population.

It's funny how Frown and Batty are often and rightfully pointing out all the "both sides" issues, but once someone else does that, they go full libtard on their sorry asses. Sad. And mostly really ****ing tedious.

So there's a big fire up in Butte County. Was at 5,000 acres yesterday, was at 20K last night, and is now up to 70,000 acres and 2,000 structures burned. Five people reported dead, all burnt to death trapped in their vehicles trying to evacuate. They didnt know that the traffic jam ahead of them was so thick people started abandoning their cars before the fire caught up to them.
