Southern trees bearing a strange fruit Blood on the leaves and blood at the root Black bodies swinging in the Southern breeze Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees Pastoral scene of the gallant South The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth Scent of magnolia sweet and fresh Then the sudden smell of burning flesh. Here is a fruit for the crow to pluck For the rain to wither, for the wind to suck For the sun to rot, for the trees to drop Here is a strange and bitter crop. |
I don't buy that those are suicides.
|
No me neither. That's horrible.
|
You don't think public suicide hangings are common? I guess you don't live where I do.

I guess that's a better idea than giving them Stinger missiles that end up shooting down your own helicopters.

The entire way people just collectively accept and put faith into it is at the core of how we oppress ourselves Ooooh paper with numbers on it and a picture of a slaveowner let’s make our entire existence based around collecting those things How could anything be more obviously idiotic and blindly accepted? OK. I’m not sure if this is true,
but it really is amazing if it is. I mean, this oughta scare the salt right off of the saltines. The “Not Fucking Around Coalition” Armed pro-BLM militia group NFAC marches on Stone Mountain, supporters say they are 'in tears right now' |

I am generally strongly against the use of facial recognition technology. The surveillance state has too much power already. I don't care if it theoretically would make it easier to catch dangerous criminals, the risks of abuse highly outeweigh the benefits.

A bit disingenuous with funny smells.
I'll wait to find out who it was that shot her and why others have been shot at the same location. |

Ja I don't believe that news story either. Only three words from the 3 AM public confrontation between strangers that escalated to both sides exchanging fire were included in the article, which seems conveniently selective.

I don't know about y'all, but I've noticed a distinct decrease in reporting about the protests in the recent weeks. If I only paid attention to most mainstream outlets, I wouldn't even know it was still happening.
Take a look at CNN's website - nothing about protests. https://www.cnn.com/ Fox News? One story really related to the protests, others about Russian protests (unrelated) and the protests effect on Coronavirus resurgence. Something less biased - USA Today? Nothing. https://www.usatoday.com/ APNews? One link about US protests. https://apnews.com/ I am not generally a conspiracy theorist, but it would seem that all news outlets are tampering down the stories about the protests and it looks intentional across the board. It's literally the biggest news story in the country, besides Coronavirus, I think. Are people simply not interested in it any more and these news outlets have made a financial decision not to cover it because of that lack of interest? If people are still interested (I think they are), why won't the news continue covering it? Did the Trump administration put a bug in their ears to tone down the coverage? Did they all decide to do it because they thought it would decrease the scale of the protests? Or do some outlets (i.e. left-biased ones) not cover because they think Americans constantly reading about protests would boost Trump's chances in the election? It is also entirely possible that right-biased news outlets aren't covering it because they think it'll increase Biden's chances in the election. I don't know. But I do know the protests are still happening in many places around the country and we're getting very little coverage about it from the mainstream press. What I'd like to know is - why? |

21 injured after an explosion and fire on a naval ship in San Diego
****'s still burning and it's got San Diego so polluted that it hurts to breathe if you're outside for more than a few minutes. I'm miles inland too so it's probably absolutely ****ed closer to the shore. Quote:

I thought the revolution wouldn't be televised cause the world would be too busy burning for anyone to have the luxury of sitting down and watching it on TV.

Nah it's because everyone's on their phones now.

There aren't enough gays in China for them to ever compete with our Navy.

As far as I know they're not even trying. They're just building lots of missiles to sink our navy.

You're thinking of the game battleship.
