We really can’t sit and watch this happen, can we? Call your local hospitals and tell them not to comply. He can’t mandate to local hospitals. This is ****ing insane. |

Shot several times in the foot? Also wtf I thought this bitch was a smokeshow 30-something but she's actually a kind of rough 25. Weird. |

I don't think they had animatronic dinosaurs before Christ.

Pretty sure the current consensus among scientists is that all the animatronic dinosaurs drowned in the flood.

The Trump admin having a stranglehold on the pandemic statistics going out to the public and the CDC will surely tip the US into a quagmire of untrustable pronouncements about the progress of the virus. If you thought that hearing about the ever-rising cases in Florida was bad, wait til your only source of information is a Trump-adjusted Sharpie graph showing that Florida actually has zero cases, that it was all a Fauci hoax. |

It is depressingly predictable: Reports about parties and bars: two weeks later, reports about surges in cases. In two weeks time, I'd expect reports about surges in deaths - unless by that time Trump is able to declare that there have been no deaths because "coronavirus cases are 99% harmless". In fact that's probably why the Trump admin is moving now to censor the statistics about CV: they know that very soon the actual death count will be so high that the GOP will have problems pushing the lie that "America is in a good place." |

773 people died of it yesterday, in the United States. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...ses-in-us.html I called our local hospital concerned citizens PR line and told them I hope the refuse Trump’s mandate and the lady sounded like she thought I was crank. I could hear her southern pro-trumpiness over the phone. Hospitals simply cannot comply with an order to sever ties with the CDC. It’s not just covid. Respect for the CDC’s earned authority protects us from all health dangers. Also check your local media and government sites for statistics locally. |

Likewise, the same goes for when I click on links about deaths. CDC looks like a good place to get the stats I'm looking for. Unfortunately, my news viewing habits are very ingrained, I'll have to implement the CDC into my habits whenever I'm interested in Covid stats. Quote:

The excuse they will use is that the CDC is not doing an effective job. Well, it’s not as effective as it could be simply because they haven’t updated their very old systems, so there’s a kernel of truth there. It’s an old GOP trick: defund and generally screw up the system from within and then get rid of it because it isn’t effective or doesn’t work at all. That’s part of the reason you’re seeing the dismantling of various governmental areas with these people. |

Same for the WHO.
|
At least the WHO has international backing and is not beholden to the Trump Admin for its survival. It's the CDC which is vulnerable right now.
|
America has a responsibility to fund the WHO no strings attached.
But I hear you. Pretty sure we’re on the same page. |

It does mention that the Johns Hopkins info will still be available (until Trump figures out a way to get rid of that). |

It's too much info to post here,
but if you want to see the depth of insidious bullshit associated with the private healthcare firm TeleTracking, you might want to do some searches. Think of how much improvement of the CDC there could've been with $10.2 million. I heard Oliver Thorn from Philosophy Tube say this on a podcast about British politics and I think it's totally true in America. People don't like to hear that politics is life and death. People like to treat it as a casual hobby and therefore being mean about it is uncalled for. Even if the president isn't doing the best job about the pandemic that isn't any reason to incite meanness over it. It's not like the status quo we all love and worship so much could ever be so perverted that our elected leaders could literally be choosing to let us die for their own personal benefit after all. No, it's all just differences of opinion and that's that.
