Personally, I don't think I buy it. It's a little too on the nose for me and a little too perfectly timed.

But, the only reason it's an issue at all is because of what Trump said about John McCain in the past. Despite what he claims, he DID call John McCain a "loser" (though he called him that for losing the election, not for serving or getting captured) - but it really doesn't matter optically.

This story and the outrage about it is Trump's bad behavior and reckless and offensive comments coming back to haunt him.

I saw some statements and documents that seem to contradict the narrative that he actually said those things, but it is hard to know for sure.

That being said, John McCain was a loser...but it is a little funny that those comments are coming back home to roost today. :laughing:

It’s definitely true. It’s completely inline with how Trump thinks. Plus, that guy at The Atlantic has an impeccable reputation. And ultimately what Trump said is 100% correct and that makes it more believable. The tiny fraction of Americans not blinded by patriotism knows that signing up to go get shot so the rich can get richer absolutely does make you a sucker and you if lose that bet with your life I wouldn’t call that being on the winning side. It’s dictionary definition loserism to die fighting one of these dip**** wars.

The sooner we stop parading the dead around as heroes the sooner teenagers will stop romanticizing war. It’s not like the dead care what our opinion is so we need to put down the propaganda kindergarten gold star bull**** and tell it like it is to the next generation.

Dude. If Trump says the election was rigged he’s still going to be commander in chief. Look at like this: If Trump remains in power he’ll punish anyone who didn’t stand by his side. If there’s confusion and Biden finally takes over he’s not going to take revenge on those who stuck with Trump during the delay. Obviously, there’s nothing to be gained by and everything to lose by turning against Trump.

It’s already been established again and again they’re afraid to arrest him for breaking the law. Obstructing justice is a huge crime. If they’re afraid to enforce it now the election is not going to make any difference. It’s still the law. So staying in office after losing an election is against the law. He doesn’t care and we’ve already shown that it’s ok for him to break the law. How many people who were close to him ended up in jail?
