I doubt anyone from the board of education or code enforcement wants it portrayed as anything but depraved parenting and psychopathic behavior. We’re always going to occasionally get these Ted Bundy type of stories. The difference here is Ted Bundy’s House of Horrors wasn’t listed as a “school” on an official website. From what I can see the media isn’t hyping up how insane that is.

I imagine that some religious organization or other has a vested interest in downplaying criticisms of homeschooling, so that might also be a factor. That's just conjecture obviously.

Several neighbors recalled an incident several months ago in which a number of children were out in front of the house late at night working under floodlights to put sod in the yard.

the state doesn't oversee private schools, they probably should to some capacity
