Yeah but the state where she was being tried, I'm pretty damn sure they would have wanted to execute her. Florida is all about the death penalty, they even still use the electric chair sometimes.

They are so gung ho about the death penalty that they have killed 20 people that were later found out to be wrongfully accused.

That's exactly why I don't agree with it.

Why risk killing someone that could be potentially innocent? Let them rot in jail. It's not my problem Florida's prisons are over-crowded. Spend less money on flat screen TV's and more on space for them to rot.

This is probably the most entertaining murder of a toddler in ages. So fun to be morally outraged, discuss the verdict for hours, read about what various celebrities have to say about it etc.

that's why I agree with the verdict, When there is doubt involved I rather let the person go free than to have someone killed that may have been innocent.

People are just using their emotional attachment to some kid that they don't even know to convince themselves that it's plain as day that she did it but there wasn't sufficient evidence to back up their claims.

Exactly. It's just like conservative talk radio. People totally get off on some ******* skilled in talkery and emotional manipulation using loaded words to get you pissed off and thirsty for blood. It's the same ****ing thing, but people are unwilling to stop for a second and think. In fact, it's the same damn thing as the Coliseum. Normal, well adjusted human beings having their primal urges ****ed with to get them to yell, "KILL!!!" and cheer the death of someone they've never met and have no reason to give a **** about one way or another. And god forbid YOU should get in the way of their fun. Then YOU become the incarnation of evil.

So what do you think happened dj? All I've been seeing since the trial was over was people throwing out the "quit using your emotional attachment!!!" posts. That's not it at all for most people. It's the fact that it's pretty obvious she did it and didn't get punished for killing her daughter. It's more the fact that there is now one more murderer walking free on this earth.

it doesn't matter what I think, it doesn't matter that it was pretty obvious, there isn't evidence to back up this pretty obvious scenario and that's it.

I'm looking at it objectively instead of looking at it from the stand point of "Oh I believe she did it because it was pretty damn obvious" which you seem to firm in your position to stand behind.

Well none of us here were jurors so none of our opinions 'really matter,' I'm just asking personally if you think she did it or not. I'm sure you have an opinion one way or another.

my opinion on it is that I don't care whether she did it or not as long as she isn't wrongfully accused , which is why I stand behind the verdict.
