They don’t like drone strikes, they don’t like Afghanistan, they don’t like that we have 50,000 troops in Iraq (which is the same number we have in Germany, Iraq is actually bigger than Germany). Now if you’re naïve enough to ask them what we should do, you’re going to get a great deal of rambling on about untenable solutions. Really? Just pull out tomorrow? What then of the people who stepped up to help us there? What of the women who are treated as second class citizens if not beaten, raped, or murdered?

If you trusted Obama’s judgement on multiple issues, and liked how Libya was handled (as I do), then why get your boxers in a twist over this? They do it because they don’t have a thought on the matter other than “Killing is bad.” And to this end, the far left starts to look a lot like the Tea Party in that they don’t have a solution, they just don’t like the way things are going. Well, I don’t like it with the far right, and I won’t tolerate it with the far left.
#1: lolwut? You think we should use our military to prevent rape in foreign countries?

#2: Libya was & is a cluster****. I wouldn't call a military intervention in a country which has zero strategic value to the US, which has such massive spillover that destabilized Mali leaving half the country in the hands of Islamic insurgents.... FFS, how can you call Libya a success when our ambassador was killed there?

Call me when your response doesn't include "lolwut" and doesn't invent positions through an intentional misread.

You said; "If you trusted Obama’s judgement on multiple issues, and liked how Libya was handled (as I do)".

So how am I inventing a position? Ditto for you stating, among reasons for keeping troops in Iraq, "What of the women who are treated as second class citizens if not beaten, raped, or murdered?"

Libya was handled just about as perfectly as I could imagine. The Ambassador died 1 year after the dictators removal.

You invented the "we should stay in a country to prevent women from being raped" part, which is neither a reason for intervention, nor what I said. My point, since it looks like I'll need to spoon-feed you, is that Liberals are generally in support of all the our military is holding back over there when it comes to women, certainly more than if we were to leave. So my wondering was how they reconcile their position on the war, with the results it would create.

Looks like I support Jill Stein 96%, Rocky Anderson 87%, Gary Johnson 77%, Barack Obama 70%, Mitt Romney 31%, and Virgil Goode 5%.

I'm voting for President Obama, though.

You mean one year after we removed the ruler of Libya who opposed Al-Qaeda, Al-Qaeda killed Americans in Libya. How is that not a massive failure?

If it's not a reason to invade, why is it a reason to stay?

Big3 for President!

Seriously though man, as a person who has little to no interest in politics (I've heard the "well you should" speech, so spare me), you've written something that is clear, concise, and has actually piqued my interest in looking into each parties policies a bit more. More informative than anything else I've read online about this year's election. Although I must admit all my exposure comes from reading Stephen Colbert's and John Cusack's twitter feeds, so take that how you want.

I find it laughable that no one here seems to know that Libya was entirely orchestrated, funded, and devised by our government and their affiliated agencies. If you'd do 2 minutes of research and see the government contractors teaching "rioting, freedom-seeking Libyans" (AKA foreign Al Qaeda agents) how to shoot RPG's and use weapons provided by the U.S. And also that you're all so smug in your ignorance
