It's true, though, even if you get your guy in there that is genuinely fighting for your cause, you better hope he's a good BS'er. Else he doesn't have much to fight for your cause with.

Well, to gain the support of the swing voters I agree, but I wouldn't call it good. What I would call good is shutting down an opponent without resorting to BS. It shows their intelligence more and in a way makes them seem more genuine since they're using logic instead of trying to make their opponent look worse than them.

It's utopian, I know.

I was thinking more about when they get into office and are wheeling and dealing with whips and chairs and covenants that they have to compromise with to get anything done.

Looks like you jumped the gun before reading my last sentence.

John Wilkes Booth 06-30-2015 08:21 PM

so you think "good" politicians are politicians that as a general rule don't get elected?

DwnWthVwls 06-30-2015 08:22 PM

Yes.. they don't elect good people into office.

John Wilkes Booth 06-30-2015 08:23 PM

i said good politicians.. not good people

get back in the cage bitch

DwnWthVwls 06-30-2015 08:26 PM

John Wilkes Booth 06-30-2015 09:02 PM

Xurtio 07-01-2015 01:22 PM

Would he be willing to take off his wig?

John Wilkes Booth 07-01-2015 04:40 PM

the last thing america needs is another wigless president

all the great founding fathers had wigs

obama and bush are both wigless and now look at us

The Batlord 07-01-2015 04:43 PM

The man has a point.

+1 for Trump.

RoxyRollah 07-01-2015 07:50 PM

I...

I can't actually argue with this because it's a really good point.

+1 for Trump.

John Wilkes Booth 07-01-2015 11:16 PM

"i think he's an overrated person, and btw i have better hair than him"
- donald trump sonning marco rubio

"if she can't even satisfy her husband, what makes her think she can satisfy america"
- donald trump annihilating hillary clinton

Frownland 07-02-2015 01:17 AM

Never before have we had a president who could make snarky comments. I'm definitely on the trump train now.

John Wilkes Booth 07-02-2015 08:33 AM

the fact that the frownlands of the world seek to undermine trump's greatness is proof that we all should vote for him

Xurtio 07-02-2015 08:49 AM

Or we could be spending all this time selling our friends and family on Sanders.

John Wilkes Booth 07-02-2015 10:33 AM

and yet instead you decided to add to the post count in my trump thread

trump thanks you for your service

Xurtio 07-02-2015 11:08 AM

Well, if I'm able to inspire just 2 trump rubberneckers to each tell 1 of their friends, then Sanders may have to thank me instead.

John Wilkes Booth 07-02-2015 11:16 AM

i like that you instinctively realize the best place to advertise for sanders is in a donald trump thread

cause clearly nobody would bother to visit a sanders thread

this thread wasn't even supposed to be built

it was supposed to be 3 pages

now it's 11 pages

trump 2016

I like that negative attention is better than no attention for a certain subset of the population.

John Wilkes Booth 07-02-2015 11:51 AM

you like that because it gives you a role to play

the world needs its haters just like it needs its leaders

DwnWthVwls 07-02-2015 01:41 PM

bump for trump

Don't frump over Trump. Bump and thump for Trump.

Xurtio 07-02-2015 07:28 PM

You'll not make a mock convert of me kafir! Trump would be more entertaining than status quo Clinton, tho'.

Sanders for Prez.

DwnWthVwls 07-02-2015 07:35 PM

Tuck frump.

Trump probably swindled it out of him in a real estate deal. Cause Trump's a boss like that.
