The funny thing here is that I actually didn't call his faith creepy. I called the Catholic practice of disseminating the pieces of text every single day for Catholics worldwide to all contemplate in unison creepy.

Still, a creepy penance. A simple lightning bolt I could deal with. But salt???

I call it petty. I also call it Lot's wife leaving behind the salt she was carrying to go back for some good ole sodomy.

He's free to think that. And I'm free to stop talking to him.
Anyone who doesn't agree with anything is attacking that thing to some degree. Religion is a pretty big god damn ****ing thing. It involves how one should live one's life, and what happens after that life, so any disagreement that isn't lazy will come across as an attack, because the difference between believing and not believing is so extreme.
