And this is the only way that these two things exist in the world.

This, but unironically I guess?

You can't just make that claim with no effort to back it up. Where are your sources, young man?

This is the first time I'll have to disagree with you in this thread. As I see it, there goes a theoretical straight line from Marx/Engels to Lenin regarding the dictatorship of the proletariat. Trotsky and Lenin were pretty much in agreement here. Have you read The State and Revolution?

Marx wrote the communist manifesto. His ideals lead to communist governments which have killed around 100 million people. Obviously I am a personal responsibility advocate, and my comment wasn't literal (that Marx himself killed them all) but his theories have resulted in incalculable amounts of death.

Would you blame World War II on Friedrich Nietzsche?

Goofle 04-10-2017 08:04 AM

There's a difference between a supposed influence and following a doctrine.

False analogy.

Goofle, I'm just losing so much respect for you. How can you mouth such nonsense? What about Jesus Christ? How many deaths is he responsible for? More than Marx?

Adam Smith definitely has the higher death count.

Janszoon 04-10-2017 10:55 AM

If published writings are at fault for all these deaths, clearly Gutenberg is responsible for more deaths than anyone else in history.

and the doctrine wasn't followed when those people were killed

Stalin was not a communist

and again communist revolutions happened in countries where people were already being starved to death by brutal dictatorships
