Is it really that hard to believe that people are just upset about the continued systemic slaughter of minorities to the point of behaving violently? Could there perhaps not be an organized group acting violently and just be angry individuals?

Nope, I don't think that. My issue was with the characterization of "just as shady and exploitive".

I still don't see the reason why a locally owned restaurant that underpays/overworks people is just as shady as a giant corporation that abuses labor laws and utilizes sweatshop labor in overseas factories (Mexico/China).

Do you think that every small business underpays and overworks people? You realize that remaining profitable can be driven by something other than greed, right?

Anything that requires them to work is basically capitalistic exploitation. It's just another grievance in an endless series of them.

I don't think every business of any size does it. The size doesn't matter.

"Systemic slaughter of minorities". Care to point me to the data or statistics that would indicate that this is happening?

Let's take your perspective here and apply it differently. Could there perhaps not be an organized systemic slaughter of minorities and just racist individuals?

Okay. I disagree with your assertion that these small businesses would abuse labor laws and operate international sweatshops if they could.

But - you are in agreement that these small businesses don't abuse labor laws and operate international sweatshops - and thus are not "just as shady and exploitive" as large businesses that do. So, in this case, the size of a business does matter in its ability or motivation to operate and exploit foreign workers.
