The cartels run those countries, too. They ain't going anywhere.

I support legalizing/decriminalizing drugs and ending the drug war for our own sake, but the idea that that's gonna kill the cartels is also dubious imo.

I see them just shifting gears into other areas of crime. Sure they would take a hit financially but they still ain't going anywhere
It is what it is.I don't even know what there is to do about it. If the US went in we'd be treated as an invading army and the countries themselves are too weak and corrupt to take on the cartels.
