It's not very surprising considering the history of Myanmar and the uneasy relationship between the military and the civilian government. I am getting kind of sick of people mentioning a certain former president, when he has nothing to do with the situation there.

Yeah but, you know, fun?

Well the big issue is that this is all just negotiating down something that should have already gone out the door, but specifically with this it reduces the number of people who get it who will then not resent some people getting money they didn't. And 50k is not a high threshold. There are a lot of people making around that who could probably desperately use that money. This is just another instance of Democrats being gutless and having no sense of urgency since none of this affects them anyway.

I don't really get that, or care if someone making 60k+ gets a check

they can suq my ding dong

that also depends on if they're out of work

If you're making 60k a year chances are you can't afford to miss many more paychecks than someone making 30k.. cause you are living a more expensive lifestyle that can't just be switched off overnight.. your rent/mortgage is higher, car payment / insurance, etc.

The real truth is I'm working class white trash who finally f found a halfway decent paying job and i don't need the money either... I'm not missing any work/checks from this pandemic.. hasn't financially hurt me at all.

Doesn't change the fact that I want my ****ing money. You said $2000, lyin' Joe. Where the **** is my money pal?

Heard that.

If I get it I support it.

Saw some Republican lawmakers whining about how we have billions sitting around that haven't been spent yet from the last Covid bill and "that's why we don't need another bill". Well that's great you idiots -- why don't you tell Mitch and Chuck to get those funds moving and implement some basic UBI?

Yeah. If you quit the job because of co-morbities or mental illness or grief or whatever maybe intimidated into quitting

No unemployment
