I just talked to my therapist and for part of the session I was vitriolic.

It was by phone. I wouldn’t be surprised if I get an involuntary hold. I might even need one.

I don't know how it is in Florida but here it's really hard to get someone locked up. Are you worried about it? Saying this might be pretty futile, but it's very likely that you're gonna be ok, either with this or the virus. Hugs

I've been placed on two involuntary holds, all it takes is saying anything that would indicate you might harm yourself or someone else. It's a lot easier to get in than get out.

My first time someone came to my little glass window and said "if you were going to attempt to kill yourself would you tell someone?" and I said "why would I tell anyone?" and that was the wrong answer. They kept me for the whole 72 hours.

The second time they asked me I said "yes of course I would reach out to loved ones for help" and I got out of that in like 18 hours. But then I actually did try to kill myself like that same day and they were onto my game and I now I dont get the benefit of the doubt anymore lol.

Damn. I definitely hoped and assumed the whole system worked a bit better. But to be fair it seems almost impossible to me to find a water-tight way to handle delicate issues like that

By making communication between a patient (or client) and a therapist be entirely confidential no matter what you say and that the therapist can only recommend alternative treatment to the patient, not to the authorities.

I was careful not to threaten anyone or to do anything but I was like I ****ing HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE and crying.

I liked when I asked the lady teaching a class what happens when you get too much serotonin (basically a manic episode) and she said she didn't know.
