the prodigy could go pop and still be great. They've made enough good music to concrete their status.

No i am saying if the prodigy made music that sounded like nsync they'd still be considered great. It would take alot of bad music for that opinion to change. They had great music from 92 to 04

Of course. The Prodigy are a great band but I expected much more. Still it's only one song. I will still give the album my utmost attention.

i thought the album with firestarter and breathe was pretty cool, honestly thought their earlier stuff was trash and everything after that too.. I just love how they got Kool Keith on the track Diesel Power.... love that rap

Genius. Liam Howlett did The Dirtchamber Sessions Vol. 1 in like '98 (Most likely wrong on the date, could be closer to '00) He's incredible as a DJ as well as composer. If you don't have that album, get it now.

"cords of mics hangin like spring leaves" the "smack my bitch up" line was inspired by the Ultramagnetic MCs, and Kool Keith was a member! |
I think I'd err on the side of saying the Prodigy are pathetic... never really enjoyed them as great deal, or found their music anything inventive - to me it all sounds like fairly standard electronic music of its era. The only thing that maybe made them stand out was their attitude? Which to me doesn't make them particularly special or accomplished in any way... they always struck me as a bit of atyle and attitude over substance sort of group...

From "The fat of the land" onwards, I'd say they're pretty crap. I actually enjoyed "Music for the Jilted Generation", though
