I thought that they were British because they produce good music. Well, the British do have a very good musical history, and some fantastic bands to prove it.

Why don't you let him fight his own arguments?

You should give a damn, because typing out a big argument for the reason why Brits are good then include an American in that list is pretty dumb. And also what's with the 'I thought they were British because they produce good music' line. So that means that every band who produces good music you think is British? Honestly you need to put more thought into your arguments.

Which, if you research the artists, means that you will be putting more thought into your arguments. You can't state that you thought such and such band were British simply because they 'make good music.' That's just stupid, and it doesn't make you rpoud of your country it makes you ignorant. I prefer British music, but I think that lots of American music is still wonderful.

I think original music stands a better chance in Britain.

It seems to me the American charts are permenently clogged up with either Rock , R&B or Hip Hop & little else.

There`s a lot of crap in the British charts but I think it`s a lot more varied.

Well there you go then. At least you admitted you were wrong unlike so many others in this forum. The major thing I love America for is for bringing us rap. Without rap the world wouldn't be such an interesting place.

And for your information, it was TheBig3KilledMyRainDog's argument, not mine.

TheBig3 said that the first two bands you listed were bands that were no longer making good music, to which you responded that that was only his crackpot views or something to that extent. You then proceeded to say you had never heard David Gilmour and that "they" must therefore be crap (there goes band number two) and then that it didn't matter that Prodigy no longer made good music which is just flat out contradicting yourself.

I can't show the same affection for the stuff. I think thats one of the reasons why American music sucks so much right now.
