I can't imagine life without the two albums by the Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster at the moment. Fun fact - googling for a pic of their second album it came up with Stu's MB review of it...

I've also got their only other release since 2004 (a new album is due this year apparently) the In the Garden EP.
These guys just KNOW.

If anybody has a decent-quality link to 'the Royal Society' PM me, the one I have is a tad crackly in places.

Horse Of The Day looks like a pretty fantastic album. Too bad I don't have it, wink wink wink.

I dunno if that's the real album cover. Good album though, good hard rock indeed.

Mozart's opera Don Giovanni

The CD is ****ed up though, and the last scene, which is probably the best of the whole opera, skips around. Damnit...

Otherwise, this is quality music.

I think the last album I actually purchased was Day and Age by The Killers. I hate being a broke college student, but I am thankful for the public library system.

David Fiuczynski & John Medeski - Lunar Crush

A strange and awesome album by the most innovative avant-garde guitarist of the current era. Crazy!!

Tipographica - The Man Who Does Not Nod

Jazz in the Sun Ra vein from the land of the rising sun, with some touches here and there that remind me of Soft Machine...or maybe Zappa. Either way, this is some hot ****.

Yes - The Yes Album (Remastered)

I prefer my favorite albums when they're remastered. Chris Squire's bass has never sounded crunchier! :D

I've been playing MF DOOM and Quasimoto for a while now, so I think it's high time I take a crash course in hip-hop.

^Is that Meg White in that picture?

scottsy 02-16-2009 09:00 PM

hehehehehe.... definitely looks a whole lot like her, for sure! Looks like the record cover is from the sixties though.... is meg White transcending the regular flow of the time / space continuum? Curious...

That record is actually from 2008 but I agree they did a great job of making it look like it's from the late 60s or early 70s. Maybe the photo is actually old though. All I know is Meg White has a twin somewhere out there in space and time. :pimp:
