You'll love ROC though, I guaruntee it. A lot more polished (in a good way) and aggressive than that album. |

Abbysinnians and Long Shot are okay, bt I like the dub quality of King Tubby the most.

Traffic - Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory I DLed this album originally just because I thought cover was really swoll, but Traffic seem to be at the top of their jazz-rock game here (with bongo drums thrown in for flavor). Very good music!! |
|

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I dl'd it because the girl I have a crush on likes them :o: But they're definitely good, would've checked 'em out soon anyway. |
The magic year for today's DLing spree is 1987. :)
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1045/...1c7167.jpg?v=0 Blind Idiot God - S/T (1987) Got this from my brother, who also owns a vinyl copy. Precursing both the sort of dub stuff you'd later hear with the Ozric Tentacles and 90's reggae and also the post-rock genre in terms of sound, this is one of the most awesome debuts in history. http://static.rateyourmusic.com/album_images/199245.jpg Mr. Sirius - Barren Dream (1987) Symphonic rock from Japan, with some Canterbury touches here and there for good measure. Quiet and very piano driven in many places, this is the ultimate chill music EVAH!! |
