Capability Brown - From Scratch

Been considering DLing this forever after reading Comus's review on it, and finally did so today!

^ GR, I'm trying to download CB, but all the links are either expired, or broken.

I was expecting something a lot less accessible, what I got was simply a very good album.

Unitopia - The Garden

Unitopia - The Garden

Best CD of 2008 for me!

Mark Olson and Gary Louris - Ready for the Flood is my latest purchase!

Very good work...if you like CSN, Fleet Foxes, Chris Robinson, (album producer) solo work, and of course Simon & Garfunkel.

Vocal based bluesy rock.

Freshly ripped today:

...and what a storming album it is. Marks the midway point between their synthbased Pop and their forays into introspective Jazz tinged compositions. First Talk Talk album I owned and still much played.

It's pretty sad how westernized all of these J-pop artists are. But then again, I suppose it comes with the territory. Whatever happened to cultural pride?

I recently downloaded this jewel of an album by the Derek Trucks Band. I'd recommend it to anybody who likes southern rock, blues, jam bands or the Allman Brothers Band.

Well firstly she's Taiwanese not Japanese

And secondly if you actually listen to the artists themselves you'll notice that they use a lot traditional theme's in their music.

PLUS.... How do you expect them to look? Are they meant to be walking around in kimono's and full Geisha face-paint? What is a modern Asian person meant to look like to you?

That's a sample of this artist and how she uses traditional theme's in her music

Also.... most Asian artists ARE better than Western artists.... I haven't seen one Western artist that can match the diversity of absolutely loads of Asian artists.

Been after this 3 track forever. Finally found it on Play.com tonight. Only cost me £2.10 as a download as it's never been released over here and searches produced nothing.

I've only heard Ire Works. I take it I should give that a listen?

Definitely.

It's is the perfect mix of absolutely spastic rhythms and guitar work and the energy of stuff like Converge, Ceremony, and the like.
