Fact of the matter is Green Day were influenced by Punk, and while you hear it in their music, I would much rather say they're a Rock band.
Cool.
But this doesn't answer my original question.
Do you honestly believe every previous inductee into the Hall of Fame has been an innovator and has shaped the course of music?
