Wait, music can't be a way to turn your mind off and let it wander? Isn't that the whole point? And I'm not being sarcastic, since I do turn my brain off when I listen to music.

It can be, definitely. And I mean, no one can really tell you how to listen to your music, so I was just razzing Batty, but I think you mean more of turn your brain off and get lost in the music, right? Whereas Batlord was saying he turns his brain off to ignore the world's laziest rappers take turns reciting some of the lamest lyrics in rap music.

I don't think being pretentious has anything to do with it, it's more so just not enjoying shitty music. With that being said I'm like 12 too, so what do I know?
