But... I didn't even mention any of them in my post... did you read it? This was really more about being a dick to Ki anyway.

I've mentioned already that I have a different take on what boring means in terms of describing music. I take it a bit more as saying "this music is talent less / lacking in talent" as opposed to what the actual defining element is. I've admitted my fault on that one.

When I mean singing I mean something I can mock in the same way I would a B-movie. I wanna hear you belt out "Living on a Prayer".

Just catching up to these last several pages of bickering and I feel like the expected division has happened: People who think that busy guitar work is soulless wankery and people who don't.

I think most virtuoso play is soulless, but generally, I like detailed music and skilled performers. Most minimalistic guitar rock is the definition of dull to me. If applied well, great guitar playing skills can be lead to great guitar solos. Meagre guitar playing skills usually just leads to bad indie rock.

Now you are going to criticize my listening skills because I don't like most of your stuff and a lot of the YT vids you post? That's like criticizing someone's taste buds because they don't like the same foods as you do.

And no it's not nostalgia. My listening tastes range between stuff written hundreds of years ago right up to the present. But I don't toss away the stuff I liked in the 1980s just because we're into the 2010s.

Your debate skills on this are eroding fast.

If you think that all Satriani is is the pentatonic scale, then there's no hope for you. Maybe it's you that needs to refine your listening skills, eh?

Another fave track from Joe.
