they've already had more albums than a good number of bands that didn't last very long. honestly, even if they quit now, at least it was with a decent collection of music, and coming from someone who has some of their music before their latest and compared to alot of the stuff that has been around at the same time, it's all pretty damn good.

Other bands I think that are crap that some people hero worship on this forum .... Primus , The Melvins , Muse and anything with Mike Patton apart from Faith No More.
Agreed on the Nick Cave issue, but as for all of Mike Patton's side projects being crap- have you heard Lovage? It was a collaboration between him, Kid Koala, Dan the Automator and Jennifer Charles of Elsyian Fields. They released an album called "Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By" and it is awesome.

- U2 are one of the most boring bands on the planet.
-Shoegaze needs a revival period. The My Bloody Valentine reunion tour was ****ing amazing, now time for the Lush, Slowdive & Ride reunions.
- Metal fans are mostly cliquey arseholes. Mostly.

Load and Reload are actually quite enjoyable albums that Metallica need not be ashamed of or discredit all the time.
