Her voice has this unique, raspy vulnerability that really cuts through, especially on tracks like Landslide or Silver Springs. And while not every song is a lyrical masterpiece, she’s written some genuinely powerful stuff.
Nice counter view, louieeeeb. Welcome to Music Banter. Who are some of your favorite musicians? Besides Stevie Nicks, I mean.

And if that isn't an unpopular music opinion, I don't know what is.
That's certainly true of me. I'm not really into jazz as such but I love the soundscapes Miles produced in the early 1970s.

I totally get the criticism of her voice. When she was younger her voice didn't sound quite as bad, I suspect it really was quaaludes or coke or whatever that gradually ruined her voice. By the 80's it sounded terrible.

She sure was a hottie when she was younger. And she wrote some damn good songs back then too.

I have no idea who this opinion might be unpopular among, save for a few edgelords stuck in 2006, but Death in June is not a good band or musician or project or whatever it is. The music alone, taken in abstraction from the tedious and repellent Nazi posturing, is very boring. A complete waste of time.

Not entirely true actually, because I discovered Doomer Jazz during covid and have been addicted since
