you should listen to Animals. Probably my favourite of theirs, really great. I think DSOTM is great as well though, so maybe it just aint your cup of tea.

Animals, WYWH and Meddle speaks volumes more than DSOTM. The Wall is just plain old bad in my opinion.

Animals was my long-time favorite, I'd still consider that their best. "Sheep" is arguably their greatest song.

Also this is just my opinion if you like Grunge fair enough, But when you start making comments like "You have issues" just because I don't like a band you do you can **** off.
You've pretty much described Brit Pop really.. Especially Blur, they were meant to be singing about modern day life in Britain and I REALLY don't see it. I really like Blur around the time of 13, but before that the social observations never meant anything to me, Brit Pop only has a couple of good bands (for me anyway.)

A) Personally, the only grunge band I regularly listen to is Nirvana, although I'm in the process of acquiring some Mudhoney.

B) There were far more than two or three bands in the Sub Pop catalog in the late 1980s.

C) It's hardcore kids slowing the tempo down and digging the Sabbath sound Black Flag toyed with. Some classic rock influences are tossed in along with the "grunge voice" that I despise.

And how does this all not apply to britpop?

It's not that I don't like them.. It's just not my thing. I don't like Prog in general. Despite trying, it just doesn't seem to happen. I'll download Animals as well. Only recently got Piper at the gates of dawn, only heard it once.. and well... yeah.

Pink Floyd aren't all that progressive to be honest. I'm not saying you can't be progressive without having time signature shifts and extremely high musicianship, but yeah.

Ugh
Just cause I like ****ing Britpop doesn't mean I hate Grunge for that reason.
Britpop isn't even a ****ing genre!
It literally means music from Britain in the 90's. Which IMO is better than Grunge.

They're VERY progressive.. just because they have a lot of psychedelic in there doesn't take away from their proggyness.
