Alright, whatever. My friends disagree with me :/

You people on here clearly know more about music than I do.

Ok, I'll bite on this. I agree that Heartwork is their best album. My 2nd choice would be Necroticism. But I really like Swansong. It's totally different, I'd even accept the argument that it's their weakest album if your favorite albums are the early grindcore. But I think it's very good at what it's aspiring to be, straight up rock.

Fire away...

Morrisey it's awesome, loved by thousands and and he's still depressed

The smiths are kinda whiny, a little too sensitive but i still like them

Even if Morrissey is a bit of a c*nt, Johnny Marr is a great guitarist and his guitarwork and Morrissey's lyrics together just work.

Thankfully, there was no mention of Kulashaker (ambitious, but pretentious) or even Northern Uproar (2'nd rate Dad Rock performed by teens). Some other points in the original post are very arguable (Third Eye Blind?), and I can understand the "why?" position of placing Cast in the same sentence as Ride, but I feel that at least Cast are not that bad.

Actually, as a survivor of the Mid 90's in the US, I can at least understand the mention of Cast (with John Power of The La's, to those wondering...). Compared to the Post-Grunge, Grunge-Lite, and Pop Cheese that littered the Popular Music scene in The States, listening to Cast was a relief to some. From what I remember, their singles were not that bad. Not that I'm a mega-listener of Cast, but there was seriously a lot worse. "Alright" is still a good listen and a pretty uplifting song.

Not from me, I love Swansong and really that whole "death & roll" style.

Wolverine Blues is my favourite Entombed album.

I'll probably give it another try at some point, but I tried it once and just found it to be completely dull and devoid of life.

Husker Du's "Celebrated Summer" is the Goo Goo Dolls with distortion.

Lindsey Buckingham's contributions to Fleetwood Mac are much less valuable than most people think. Look at the song credits.
